When helping reviving a salmon it should not be moved forward and backward in a current as seen in this video. The gills of salmon are designed to absorb oxygen from water traveling in one direction. So moving a fish forward in a current increases oxygen absorption but moving it backward in a current drowns/suffocates a fish as it cannot absorb oxygen from the water as effectively. Other than that, its a good video.
A Ketchum Tool (or similar tool) will allow hook removal without touching fish.
barbless hooks sure save a lot of parrs and their jaws that allow them to feed.
