  • What the f*** is this?

  • Anyone know what this font is called?

  • Anyone know what kind of style you could put to these drawings? I'm so incredibly influenced by it :p

  • 2:09 That should be a poster.

  • those hand drawings are fantastic!

  • the video was missleading

  • CASE REOPEND

  • BOOOOOOO!!!!

  • stupid fanshit, DONT FUCK UP ART WITRH YOUR DAMN CRAP-MUSIC!

    please :D

  • ah fuck !

  • I personally very rarely stay for the credits, but this I actually watched till the end. Zimmer's music really caught me; I at first wondered why this last composition ("Discombobulate") was put to the end titles (other melodies are variations of it) then I understood that this is more than a background soundtrack, it is really a musical composition. Putting it up front during the film would take the audience away from the scene since it really attracts you. The drawings're also excellent btw.

  • Anyone know the font for the end credits in Sherlock Holmes

  • Boo, you removed the music!!

  • @MrSeyker boo you suck!

  • Wow, compared to the original this version doesn't work.

  • Yeah what the hell? Put the original music back in.

  • @Sunburn2007 it's a vid from another place read the info

  • FUCKING IDIOT

  • although it doesnt rlly tie into the movie, i think it went rlly well w the credits srry just my opnion

  • terrible music choice for this end credits. :( doesn't suit it at all.

  • All the choices for this film were genius. I loved it so much I made a speed painting of Downey as Holmes, check it out on my channel.

  • Okay, the song is "Perhaps Vampires is a bit Strong But..." by the Arctic Monkeys. Good band. And the song doesn't match the video until about a minute it. After that, the timing is excellent and the lyrics even match to the mood of the movie.

  • omg...thanks so much!! the first thing i thought after stepping out of the theaters was to find the ending credits on youtube!! you made that happen..thanks!

  • What's with the song?!?! That is not the song they used in the movie!!!!

  • wtf where did this song come out of

  • the film is absolutely amazing :)

    go and watch it!

  • does anyone know how they would have done this? the ending credits i mena, like with the ink splattery transition from film into sketch? i would love to learn to do it but im not sure how to go about it

  • I'd like to say it's rotoscoped ... but it looks like something added with CGI rather than traditional animated rotoscope. Some sophisticated new program I'm not familiar with.

  • I know how I would do it. But I am a print designer, not a motion designer. In motion those things are a bit more complicated.

But i suppose it is a perfect combination of effects, sketches, typography, illustration and creative composition.

In a print project I would do it with photoshop.

  • @youngrebels75 Nah, rotoscope is for masking moving things. It's not CGI either. Photoshop and After Effects.

  • @Andyiron777 so they did it with Photoshop and Aftereffects? -- I'm not disagreeing btw, I'm just clarifying just to make sure I'm not misunderstanding - mainly because I want to know how they did it so I can do it too :-)

  • @Andyiron777 scratch that last reply, I just read the other one you posted below -- basically answered my question, thanks for that :-)

  • @testedatrandom After Effects it the program used to achieve the motion, as its a motion graphics program. Photoshop was primarily used for the watercolor/paint final look.

  • not the originall song

  • Amazing... does anybody know what is the font used in this end titles?

  • I would hazard a guess and say that each section was hand written. If you go to 1:34, look at the lowercase M's in "Zimmer" - not the same. Also compare the two copies of the word "Zimmer" on that frame, also non-identical.

Try the identifont website, see what you can come up with.

  • Yes you're right, I had noticed that as well after I made the comment. But man, that font or handwriting is so beautiful I wish I could do it too.

  • well you don't need all that stuff to see that it's hand written, they wanted to do a good credits animation... go to "art of main titles" and see the sherlock holmes page, there is an interview with the creator, who's also making the iron man 2 titles :D

  • very cool ending credits

  • awesome ending credit

  • I think Hans Zimmer' s music is awesome but it's really interesting to see part of this movie with other music. I would like to see more of this suff ;P

  • i want to know the name of the song thats appear at the end of this video

  • how can u change Hans Zimmer's work!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for replacing the good song with a horrible one.

  • Superior Credits

  • damn YOU! .. edited sound =((

  • okay. if you were hanged for witchcraft, you wouldnt be buried in a CATHOLIC CEMETERY!!!!

    just wanted to clarify.

  • He was hung for murder as well. Murder probably holds precedence over witchcraft.

  • The BEST credit scene. I just stared the screen at the end, the drawings and visual effects were just so epic.

If anyone knows what this kind of drawings are called or has a how-to video i'd really appreciate if you'd notice me.

  • @metabprod It's looks like a very interesting medium. I'll fiddle around with it and report my findings for anyone interested.

  • wow good work ruining the original credits with this shit

  • I prefes this music! Anyone knows it?

  • The original end music is The Dubliners - Rocky Road to Dublin ^^

  • I love this. SO MUCH!

I do prefer the Discombobulate, though.

  • thank you so much for uploading and in such good quality too :D

  • beautiful ..but the original hans zmmer's music is better

  • Wow, I can't get enough of this! I'm going to try to recreate this after my exams :P

  • what program i can use to make my pic like that ???????

  • photoshop + afret effects + lots of time for drawing. There's no easy way out.

  • @mody2200 Photoshop.

  • where's the credit music?

    and what's that music? XD

  • can anyone tell me how they did that image change thing?

  • Wtf, I came here for the credit music, what is this?

  • Exactly!! i hate this so frickin much. douchebags. nobody's interested in your liking of music just give us the damn original song..

  • Wow man... whoever uploaded this can put whatever music they want. If you hate it so much, upload it yourself...

  • i luved this movie but you shouldve kept the music

  • this vid was found on prologueFilm's web page. already with this music. i like the original soundtrack though.

  • it's not. it's not the music at all

  • Erm i dont think that is the right credit music at all...

  • absolutely amazing credit sequence! thanks for posting. : )

  • One of the best movie endings I have ever seen... Perfect.

  • @Hunmassiv

I have to agree that state :)

  • oh man. i wanted the orignal music at the end. oh well

  • not real but what he said case reopened is kinda real

  • Amazing.

  • Anyone knows what song this is? Thanks

  • @BKillerUZ

The song is "Perhaps Vampires is a Bit Strong but..." from the first album by Arctic Monkeys.

  • I was thinking that was Arctic Monkeys. Looks like I was correct. Thank you! :D

  • those are fantastic drawings, and i dont think they are made in any program, they are hand drawed

  • Agree with you, they are. But somehow they were added to the movie... Thanks in advance for any ideas :o)

  • @anotherpilot i saw a after effects tutorial trying to emulate this effect. what the guy did was captured the frame that is used in the drawing, printed it out, and then sketched over a blank paper with pencil/pen. then he scanned the sketch and used it as an image file in after effects. it seemed pretty complicated but definitely interesting.

  • @kensanity yeah that's what i was thinking

  • @anotherpilot they scanned the drawings idk. to me it looks more like they just did some photoshop added a scribble effect and stuff like that.

  • @LS722524 Photoshop does wonders.

  • @LS722524 they were used on program they're are no records of anyone drawing them in the credit's or sites or anything so it was programmed.

  • oh, but still, they look cool !

  • Yeah, more than likely hand drawn. Looks like it was rotoscoped. Regardless, very, very well done.

  • The original song was better but I bet it would be hard to get. DO you know how to replicate this in either SV or AAE?

  • Sorry, I don't know how to replicate it... And may i ask you, do you know what program to use to create credits like these? Thanks!

  • its done using a motion graphics program - like Apple Motion 4.

  • Thank you!

  • @anotherpilot It's done with After Effects, Motion is the amateur program for motion graphics. Also the Watercolor effects were achieved through Photoshop primarily.

  • @anotherpilot except definitely not motion, probably After Effects, or one of the other professional level tools

  • Thank you! I loved these credits. Is there an award for best credits I wonder?

  • If there's not such award then it should be invented! Awesome credits I guess.
