  • He is like the Robert Johnson of DJ ing. The mans got tons of Soul Power, and I've seen some guys today that have all the bells and whistles but no soul. He is the guy that first did it man

  • go flash you my dude for ever!!!

  • 2:56 TIME TO GET SERIOUS!

  • hes getting old not anymore the greatest

  • Names of the tracks any1?

  • Grandmaster Flash looks like a kid when he is cutting, so happy,so energized. His movements look so youthful.

  • Seems pretty responsive software (ie. low latency). I'm presuming this is NI's Traktor Scratch?

  • lol @ the audience. grandmaster flash on the stage and theyre like: "aha. clapclap - who is he?."

  • one of the DJ's that got me into the DJ world ;-)

  • thats not flash, its paul mooney

  • That is GRANDMASTER FLASH. Period!

  • @Sikwidityo way to take a joke! moron

  • @youcantfoolme99 I'll quote @maccagrabme and say the same to you. "You are a failed comedian." And then I'll add, you are a true idiot.

  • who would have ever thought that music that was mixes at jams in the parks would go this far.. Highbridge PS 126 park the white building

  • I've seen Flash live at the Jazz cafe Camden 6 yrs ago using real vinyl and I can say that he would kick the ass of 95% of modern djs in terms of accuracy. Of course he doesn't have the bells and whistles of what kids are doing today but without him none of it would exist so lets remember that. He is able to entertain the crowd and pack a jam after all these years and that is a very important aspect of DJ'ing.

  • finally someone who understands the art

  • @maccagrabme your just too excited for other humans, fuckin relax buddy

  • youcanfoolme99: I take it you are a failed comedian?

  • Legit...so simple...so basic...so real...

  • i saw him last year in atlantic city. you can certainly tell that hes just using the software because hes getting paid to do it. he looked so much more comfortable when he wasnt using the computer, and more of his demo was done with his laptop screen down. thats one real old school guy!

  • I see what you mean, watching him here, and when he uses the computer, it almost seems unnatural for him

  • he is the godfather

  • big ups to the real hip hop djs........... fuck all you electro cock suckers who call yourselves dj's i got sumthing for you to put your lips around..........GMF one of the greats!

  • agree

  • Flash is King

  • It is outdated by today's standards, but GMF doesn't have to do anything by today's standards. He's not out to win a competition, and watching him you can tell that he's having the same fun now that he was having back in '78. Thats what its really all about.

For those that say this was "weak" or "embarrassing", this is oldschool mixing right here. If you cant respect it for what it is, leave DJing alone.

  • much respect to GMF. so what he doesn't do all the fancy tricks that todays djs do,its a different era nw. most artists 2day won't b remenbrd in history, but th pioneers, like GMF wil be.who cares if he did or didn't invent the scratch, who really knows?Bottom line is that this man is the best when it comes to havin a funky, good party without th flashy razle dazle. he has brought so much to th table that 2days djs hav taken & made better.

    RESPECT TO GMF!

I feel bad for the haters who don't get it.

  • Anyone knows the names of all these songs and who produced them? These are some nice instrumentals that i've always wanted. Thanks.

  • Its about having fun man..Understand this...in todays world of dj's its not about Flash's performance in this video-besides, i understand flash is more of a business man now anyways.Plus,he's made his contribution to Hip Hop hes an icon man.what are all these newbies gonna contribute to the culture we call Hip HOP is what im asking...peace

  • (analher)<--- Who the fuck do You think You are saying that do You have any clue who this person is(Grandmaster Flash), number one in the world with out him there would be no Turntables and Music !!!!!!

  • Thank you for setting that fool analher straight.

  • STFU and go eat a dicc tricc....aka Blaze

  • Nobody knows who started scratch'n, first they say flash did; and then they said theodore did. So fall bacc tricc and get off his nut sacc....aka Blaze

  • Ooh yea, i forgot your pop inveted scratchin'.

    Fuck outta here.

  • Boy shut da fuck up wit da hatin' ass bullshit.

  • this was not a clever response. u should delete it and think of another one.

  • Whatever you!!!! You a tricc just like da rest of these motha fucca's, who believes he's the one who invented scratch'n....aka Blaze

  • that host was kind of an asshole.

when he introduces him he's like

    "woo.....yeah..grandmaster flash....."

  • Damn I was there doing a show for the M-Audio booth and I didn't even see the Grandmaster...

Much Respect to Flash One of my biggest influences.

    PEACE!

  • 6:14-6:55...

  • it's sad to see such weak applause but obviously people don't understand who is in frton of them. I do feel bad but at the same time I see he is just rocking like how he used to in the olden days, same scratches and nothing really crazy it's a lot of fast baby scratches and such and thats just the grandmaster flash we all first heard way back when, he kept his originality but today it's getting outdated.

  • holy shoit... Good to see him, but this dude is ol skool man... this was an embarassing performance, I felt sorry for him almost, no-one understood his contribution to this science either... Damn, just goes to show how far the game has come over the last 30 years!!!! respect tho dogg

  • i wanna see flash vs jrocc or atrak. it would bee embarrasing for him couse he would get killed

  • if it wasnt for gmf those guys wouldnt be here

  • yeah buts theres a reason no one listens to big daddy kane and any more. hes been replaced with better version

  • either the the video cam's mic is broken, or not many people understand what's he's done which is a shame, to receive such a weak applause. they are being treated to a show.

  • Good to see grandmaster flash still got some cuts left. He's Been around for a very long time. He made me the DJ i was in my day. I spent alot of time on the 1's and 2's. I would copy what he did and need make it the way i felt it. Me ( DJ PLAYBOY J.C.) One of the best DJ's In Springfield MASS, I Miss the good old days. Still got a tight mix or two in me and alot of cuts. I see flash feeling it. in a few video's. **KEEP IT FLASH**
