  • What a beautiful and talented girl. So sad that she experienced so much pain and tragedy inher life. But regardless, she definitely left a great legacy and inspiration behind. RIP, Sandra. Hope you'll have the happiness and peace in the after life that you didn't have enough of in this one.

  • Hate to burst everyones bubble. I think Sandra was a great girl and an inspiration to millions, but check out the poor girls real life. She was repeatedly raped by her stepfather from the age of eight to about 12 when he finally died. This caused an eating disorder that plagued her, her whole life. Bobby Darin her great love, who should and loved and protected her, just got up and left her one day, with no explanation. She died alone and poor. So sad.

  • @hotwoodside , I think most of us are aware of the traumas and tragedies of Sandra's life. And Bobby, to be fair, had his own set of demons to deal with - he knew he wasn't going to live long. Could he have treated her better? Definitely. But that doesn't mean that the love they shared wasn't a special one. Sandra was an inspiration to so many and continues to be so, even after she's gone. That's what this tribute is about. To remember her and her contribution to film.

  • @Muirmaiden you are truly right and they both was the love of each other lives even if they both had hard things they both had lots to deal with to begin with Sandra with her stepfather and Bobby with his heart condition which he knew would shorten his life I truly wish they could had stayed married but the main thing is they truly loved each other very deeply

  • Sandra Dee and Carol Lynley were two of the most beautiful women during this era - so natural

I remember Sandra Dee in the Gidget films with James Darren

  • What ever happened to such simplisitc, stunning, elegant beauty? Serioulsy, I cannot name one current actress that even comes close....wait, maybe Diane Lane.

  • Somehow she reminds me of Drew Barrymore....

  • She was such a Doll, and in such an innocent time in America !

  • I love Sandra Dee!!! Good bye princess!

  • Sandra Dee had the most perfect face that I have ever seen. I recorded a Bobby darin song (You're The Reason I'm Livin' ) a while back and I used some of my favorite pictures of Sandra and Bobby. Stop by sometime and check it out. I am very much an amature but I have always liked that song.

  • She was a beautiful woman.

  • Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin were every couple. They were ordinary people and at the same time they provided a backdrop that elevated the lives of others...they had some magic that allowed the rest of us...those who wanted to...to see our lives against the back drop of infinity. Romantic bosh, I know, but that is how I feel.
