  • @gigax66 We've come to the conclusion that it's some kind of large moth species. They seem to help with pollinaton of flowers and therefore creating seeds in plants across the landscape.

  • That is either a Broad-bordered Bee Hawk-moth or a Narrow-bordered Bee Hawk-moth.

  • It is a hummingbird. It doesn't sting or bite so don't swat at it! They are harmless little birdies.

  • It's a white lined sphinx moth. I saw one for the first time tonight outside my house (southern cal) and then got on the internet to see what kind of hummingbird it was. What a shock!
