It's interesting how many people think that it's Lionel Richie doing lead vocals on this track when in fact it was drummer/vocalist Walter Orange.It never sounded like Lionel to me at all.I was surprised when I looked at a Lionel Richie solo greatest hits cd and they included this song.

@Braktooth Thank you for agreeing.Whenever you have a member of a group that is either the singer or if that member leaves a group and does well as a solo act it's almost always assumed that they're the ones that does or did everything while in the group.You have the same problem with Chicago/Peter Cetera, Genesis/Phil Collins etc.Lionel clearly wasn't the only great talent in the Commodores.It was also Walter Orange that did most of the vocals on their later hit 'Nightshift'.
