There are way better tablet designs with superior dock connections, I'm using the Asus Transformer and it's a superior design, with USB docking, at half the price of this. So Calm down Lenovo fanboy!

The comparable iPad is just as much, plus you need to buy everything seperate for the ipad, and of course the ipad not having usb ports is rediculous. Bottom line, iPad is garbage compared to this amazing device.

Since this only has one processor, and one Bus, both must be one at the same time. Even if they managed to get each OS to work on a separate core, you would then be running single core. I should know, I'm a computer scientist, what are your credentials?

I think it isn't that amazing. They found a way to sell you two of there products at one time. All it's doing when you place it in the dock is it by passes the board and processor ect. and make it just a monitor. I think i'd rather buy a more powerful tablet and a seperate netbook for way less money. Not impressed!

The ipad was a total disappointment, and as for the iphone 4..... there's been no significant improvement in iphones in 4 incarnations! @ferakobv I think the lag is probably more due to the complexity of the screen he was interacting with. Simultaneously resizing 4 busy panes as he drags his finger is a very hardware intensive, laggy thing to do and probably should be removed from that program.

There's only lag because he was running his fingertip across the screen, sideways, in reverse and he did not have a good "connection" with the screen.

Plus look at the display, it's got fingerprints all over it, that inhibits good contact.

Lastly, anyone want to venture a guess how long that tablet has been running without a reboot. LOL. Any device that runs all day without rebooting is going to lag.

He kind of had the perfect storm for a laggy performance. Not his fault.

(you fill in the blanks) cause i do not see it as a problem for video playback or eBooks or music play. if they would have used a capacitive screen there wouldn't have been any lag but the price would go up. lenovo is not meant for the "apple buying" market. plus the battery life plus the hd video feature.

@sdmzb Hmm.. you have a point. Alot of people have been bringing this up. The net-book manufactures SHOULD be using a minimal powered 3d card to accelerate the 2d drawing. Windows has the functionality if a 3d card is installed, not really sure if there is a 2d surface acceleration specification in OpenGL on Linux? My old HP TC1100 has Nvidia Go in it and on a 800mhz slate in makes a WORLD of difference!  Keep posting or voting with your wallet, they'll get it eventually.

@sdmzb It's called a prototype. This video was taken around the same time last year, meaning the touch screen capabilities and OS was running on mid-late '09 technology. From what I know it hasn't hit the market yet, so with a year delay they probably have been working on functionality problems. Last I heard it's adopted Android and when this video was taken Android wasn't even available yet.

Now that we are a full year from it's unveiling I would like to see how it actually functions now.

When this video was made, it still was many months till release. They had to make a prototype for showing at the CES, so it doesn't matter if it was laggy. They probably optimized it for release.
