  • Very awesome! I like the uniqueness of the puppet. Not foam, not clay, but knit. I like the textures.

  • HEY!!! the RAVEN from Edgar allan poe!!! I love it GREAT!!!!!!!

  • To begin with I focussed on the main character's lip synch, eyes, and finger action. but watching with the sound off I really noticed the fantastic bird animation at the end. Very smooth wing action there! What's it made of?

  • Thanks Nick for noticing the raven. It is a blob of putty covered with latex with wires sticking out for the wings. The wings are covered in latex. I sculpted the wing shape in clay, laid the wires in, and then brushed on latex until the wires were covered.

  • Nice work John!

  • O_o Wow that was quite a bit of poetry performed by.. well a tree! Amazing animation, nice poetry reading and not to mention very nicely made puppets. Very well done. :D

  • Nice job!

  • great job castle

  • Can't wait to see the toilet trees!!

  • wow that was incredible man! what is the puppet made out of, some sort of fabric?

  • the puppet has a metal armature, and then has hand knitting and crochet yarn body build up... the eyes and mouth are made of felt. Youtube user woollymonster made the puppet. More info on her blog.

  • Nice! The eloquent, yet dark works of Edger Alan Poe, alway caught my mind's eye.

  • the raven has a metal armature, with epoxy putty and latex built up over it...it uses a black thread to hold it in the air that I removed later with photoshop...

  • This is really cool looking! Love it!
