  • He was, I believe during WW1. He was also an adviser to Winston Churchill during WW2. It's said that Crowley is the one who encouraged the Allies to begin using the "V for Victory" sign. Supposedly, it was a magickal gesture that would wound the morale of the Nazis. The Nazis had a very rich culture when it came to the occult and esoteric knowledge.
