  • giant day geckos are freakin awesome but i think you need to move your tree frog and day gecko and all of the other things in that terrarium to a bigger one i know they have been in there for a while and they r doing good but move them into something bigger and they will do even better

  • this is not a healthy cage for the tree frog

  • @Henrylizards been well over a year and they are all doing great

  • @earthling1984 thats good can they live together? and why is there clay for a frog?

  • @earthling1984 Some extra cage cleaning would be nice, though.

  • @Henrylizards you mean it's not a healthy cage for the crickets

  • Free the Geico Gecko!

  • "omg, those poor little crickets. a frog and lizard working together to MURDER! animal cruelty!" thats what a fucking drama queen would say.

nice teamwork, ive god 3 lizards i need to feed.

  • that gecko is like a ninja lol

  • I see this is an older video so it makes you a perfect person to ask. Do the frog and day gecko still do well together? I'l been planning a similar set up for an exoterra i have collecting dust.

  • @hovafl they are still together and doing great.

  • im getting ma tree frogs soon and i day gecko is my dream pet but u cant get em in aus :(

  • So I heard that you can't hold tree frogs, because human oils can harm their skin. I get that, so after I hold my green tree frog, I spray him with water. Is that okay to do with tree frogs?

  • @TheRealAwesomologist I'm sorry, I don't really know, I haven't researched this. I can say I haven't held my frog since I got him, I just never thought of frogs as pets to hold. If you want to hold your frog perhaps do some research online to make sure it is safe. Perhaps get a pair of those plastic or latex 'doctor' type gloves and mist them with water and hold your frog with those on.

  • @TheRealAwesomologist

you shouldn't handle frogs very often because yes their skin can absorb dirt and bacteria from your hands. BUT if you absolutley must handle them make sure you wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap and dry throughly before you do.

  • Hmmm... Very Interesting, I Had No Idea That A Tree Frog And Gecko Can Live Together

  • @ninjabluewings yeah, it isn't really recommended, but these guys have been living together for over a year now without any problems.

  • @earthling1984 No I Can Understand That, As With Everything In Nature You Get Exceptions To The Rule I Guess. I Am Getting A Tokay Gek Soon And I Think I Can Say With Confidence That You Would NEVER! Get A Frog To Live With That Breed Ha! Ha!

  • dude can you hold thease reptiles(day gecko)

  • @earthling1984 sick there pritty cool geckos

  • lol, the background is desert

  • how much dose the day gecko cost. I really want to get one.

  • @ChantylDeroy They can cost anywhere from $40 to $100+

  • Could i keep a whites with a crestie?

  • @ImconStudio that wouldn't be recommended.

  • way to small

  • do you still have the florida snake

  • love your whites tree frog i have 2 ive had them for about 1 month and their awsome

  • @65nedilem Thanks, they are cool.

  • Hello I love your animal room :) I came across your vids while looking up some turtles, we have 2 male red ear sliders and 2 painted turtles 1 year old. But what i always loved more are frogs ever since i was a little girl, which types do well in captivity ?

  • @IMUANGRYANGEL Cool. There are many types of frogs, and many will do great in captivity as long as you have your cage setup properly. Do some research and find a frog you want :)

  • I love your tank!

  • Cool gecko, makes me think of anole lizards

  • howd u make the water part

  • @snipesnrifles with a piece of glass a silicone.

  • think you need to do a little spring cleaning

  • oh you can put them together? i didnt think a gecko would get along with a frog. i suppose they do live in the same environment.

  • @MiK3i

It's always kinda fishy putting 2 different species in the same enclosure, if the day gecko was small enough, the frog would probably try to eat him!

But it looks like they're both big enough to know not to mess with each other and it also looks like the enclosure is big enough that they won't get cranky and start to fight.

It's a lot like how we work.

  • i just got a giant day gecko, hes about half way grown and he is eating well, BUT, he wont go and jump down to eat the crickets, he waits untill they climb up the background wall and then eats them, he always hangs out on that corner he chose and just moves across the wall to what temperature he wants, and doesn't move around the cage much but he always comes out. Is that normal?

  • @TheGhostfacekilla86 probably fine. and if you 'just got him', he is probably still geting used to his new tank.

  • @earthling1984 Yeah that's probably true, it's also 2 feet tall so there is less floor space and more places for him to climb on. Thanks for the reply man!

  • how much was the giant day geco

  • @pinkhotttty they usually sell between $45 and $90. I think mine cost around $65.

  • do u hold ur day gecko alot?

  • Those herps are beauties! I love the white's tree frog. The day gecko is massive! They must love to have those little crix for dinner!

  • will the day gecko hurt a tiger salamander or green tree frogs or anoles ? i really want one!

  • @MyFishies Do you mean will they eat anoles? They might.

  • @earthling1984 oh... ok, i was going to an expo and wanted to get 2 to go with my whites and tiger salamanders, but i dont have any anoles yet or anything small( exept some baby leopard frogs, that i dont care about that much) so i might get one. will the GDGs be fine with LOTS of moss? and sorry about all the questions:)

  • @MyFishies i know it won't hurt anoles!. Probably won't hurt the tree frog or the salamander.

  • Woah those Day geckos looks cool, I've always wanted to move onto a arboreal lizard like this, probably Anoles

  • @HordeFTL Thanks, they are very pretty lizards. I've had him for quite some time now, probably over a year. He is pretty easy to care for, and is always hanging out on the glass in plain sight.

  • @HordeFTL FOR THE HORDE SUCKA.

  • i like this alot!!!, apart fom the desert background on a tropical setup lol, have you ever had any aggresion isuues with the gecko towards the frog? or the other way round?

  • @gazza3112 Thanks. They have been fine together for months! They are still together. The day gecko stays on the walls, and the frog mostly stays in the cave. They never both eachother.

  • what giant day gekkos can live with a frog 0.0??

  • alot of shit in there

  • @professorweeto yup, was time for a cleaning

  • I always wanted to mix a gecko with my white's tree frog but I was told they will try to devour everything. But I stumble across the Tokay Gecko which seemed to share the same requirement as the Indonesian white's tree-frog. I finally said f*ck it, I don't want to pick up poop smeared across the glass as well as the substrate form the frogs, Lol.

  • at 2:15 the frog launches the cricket up into the air! nice setup

  • @MyFishies lol he does throw up a lot of dirt ;p

  • where can i get a giant day gecko and how much?

  • You can find them locally at a pet shop. Not all pet shops will have them, look more for small family owned type pet shops. Call around, maybe one will have one. You can also find them online if you can't locally. Just google search 'purchase giant day gecko' or something. LLL reptile may have some now as well. They usually go for $40 to $90.

  • k thanks

  • @earthling1984 My uncle ordered two baby snakes online and they guy delivering them just killed them for lack of air.

  • coould a giant day gecko and a red eyed tree frog live together???

  • I'm SOOO jeleous :) lol

  • what kind of frogs and gecko can whites tree frogs live with

  • do they live well together right now there in seperate tanks

  • yes

  • Much thanks

  • i have a day gecko and a whites tree frog also there awesome !!!!!

  • Cool man. Take good care of them, they can live a long time :)

  • @earthling1984

CAN you REALLY REALLY keep one Giant Day Gecko on its own? Looks like it here!!

  • yes, they can live on their own

  • since we r talking can u PLEASEEEEE check out my vids and maybe probably not subscribe i subbed 2 u

  • were iz the snake jueled curly tail and water snake

  • you said snake 2 times... There is a snake in there, he doesn't eat crickets and he is usually hiding in the cave. The crabs and toads were also in there, in the water, they just aren't as quick to come get crickets.

  • @earthling19484 my friend they grow up to a foot in lenghth if you take care of them well

  • yes, average size is 9 to 12 inches. 10 to 11 being the 'norm'

  • Thanks for the update LOVE that tank!@$#

  • Awesome colors on the day gecko! Nice looking terrarium 5*

  • the animals may look fine physically, but the stress they get from having another animal in the enclosure causes disease and mostly likely death in the end.

  • correct, and some have toxins that can harm the others. I do not recommend mixing reptiles.

  • /amphibians

  • can you keep other frogs with the white tree frog? like a red eyed tree frog?

  • I am not sure of those two species being kept together. Many frogs have different environment needs, and many have toxins which are bad for other animals. It is best to keep them in cages by themselves, if you do mix them, research much before hand.

  • ooh cool! THat gecko is sick! how big of a cage does an adult need? And are they easy to care for and are they begginer geckos? Great video by the way!

  • The Giant Day Gecko will reach about 10inches as an adult. A 20 to 30 gallon tank is fine for one or two of them.

  • hey can any sort of gecko live with a tree frog?

  • My giant day gecko has been fine with my whites tree frog, it isn't really recommended to mix species however.

  • oh ok, did you put them in while they were

young or somthing? loook cage man, where or how did you get/make that cave thing looks awesome!

  • I monitored them closely, they have been ok. The cave I like as well :) I built it out of sand/clay. I put cut in half pringles containers to hold open the two 'caves'. Has lasted in there for months.

  • wow thats coool! thanks for telling :)
