  • my mouse has 9 buttons... this one sucks

  • @Tunesmaster709 I completely agree with you when I got my iMac I got a magic mouse because a thought it was cool. Big mistake on my part so I got a cyclops gaming mouse it's super comfortable to hold.

  • i am a mac owner and HATE all apple mouses , im on a logitech g700 gaming mouse and that it amazing

  • That mouse looks like a boobie :>

  • I remember using that mouse quite alot during grade school and thought to myself "Why the fuck did they put a hockey puck on a string??"

  • I'm an apple fan boy, but that mouse really sucks!

  • i would use it as a therapy ball

  • What was funny in dis

  • Where's my right mouse click?

  • @GamerGod360rblx hold control.

  • @GamerGod360rblx ctrl + click . This mouse has only 1 button.

  • This is the epitome of what apple stands for. "look at how nice this mouse looks" it won't fit in your hand very well, doesn't have a right click, and it probably will only last a month, but who cares... youll buy it

  • @indubitably01 They do have right clicks, the buttons just aren't separate.

  • @matthiasrox That mouse didn't

  • can I get one with two buttons?

  • I see what you did there, steve.

    RIP Steve Jobs.

  • Macs get virues if you dont run antivirus software then you have no idea if you have had a virus or not.

  • Be funnier if he said iDead on his grave

  • @desertflame666 Fuck you your so amatuer faggot.

  • @TheDocoz123 WOW he was freaking joking dude -_-

  • @MultiMonkyman I know he was jokeing. He sounds like he's not joking and what the fuck do you care?

  • @MultiMonkyman it doesn't seem like a joke, and even if it was, it's joking about the death of a great man. Not funny, and quite pathetic.

  • I like my mouse best because it's alive...

  • This was the first mouse I ever used, so I got used to it and thought it was great since I was three years old with my iMac playing games with it. my hands adapted to the mouse.

  • Everything that came out of Steve Jobs mouth was funny. However, the company started April 1st, because it's the beginning of a new quarter, and companies usually set the beginning of their fiscal year to that day.

  • I HEREBY BANISH THIS VIDEO FROM YOUTUBE USING MY DISLIKESABER!

  • He said it is the most wonderful mouse you have ever used. It hasn't even been released to the market yet. He tricks you into thinking you have been using it for years by implanting the idea that you have used it before. He makes false claims and people still believe it.

  • Ewww the iMac mouse was horrible... too small, wrong shape, not ergonomic at all... And they cling to the 1-button only philosophy, why?

  • @Draven84

The old Apple mice were 1 button (the one in this video being the WORST mouse example ever), however mice designed by Apple in the last 8 years or so all incorporated mice with primary & secondary (i.e. right click) buttons, as well as buttons on the side and a clickable scroll ball – all of these buttons could be assigned various functions. The Apple '1 button mouse' is a myth perpetuated by PC users who don't take the time to actually investigate the actual product... & the facts.

  • @sushimamba7 well there's that and the fact it took Apple so long to realize that 1 button isn't enough. Think of it like people, if there's something you remember them by, it sticks. Apple only have 1 button just kinda stuck. It's like Apple users spreading the myth that if you use Windows, you'll automatically get viruses, when both are just as susceptible as the other

  • @wilhamlin

Dude, the virus thing ain't a myth. I switched over from PC to Mac about 5 years ago and in that time I haven't even operated any anti-virus protection software. In fact, I don't know anyone on a Mac who runs anti-virus software! Of course, a Mac could get a virus but the likelihood is very little to none!

  • @Jackson5Videos It kinda is for a couple reasons. I haven't had a virus on a Windows system since ME, and within the first month of using OS X I had a virus. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone I know that's had a Windows virus in years. And with Macs not needing ROOT access to take over an entire computer, and there being more holes in the system itself... The security on Mac is just unacceptable in 2011

  • @wilhamlin You're either trolling or just misinformed. OS X is Unix-based, it ABSOLUTELY requires root privileges to take charge of the system. Unix and Linux have WAY more security walls than Windows has ever had, especially since Windows originally gave the user Admin privileges at all times instead of elevating you to them when necessary like Linux does. You're spreading FUD like an ignorant Microsoft PR rep.

  • @MiyasmaTube OS X isn't Unix based, it's Unix compliant, and there is a difference. Essentially what Apple did was take 2 existing OS's, hybridize them and remove everything that was slowing it down (including natural security). And I agree about Unix and Linux having more security than Windows, but OS X isn't Unix and should not be treated as such.

  • @wilhamlin

"within the first month of using OS X I had a virus"

Do you know how we all KNOW you are making that up?

Because as of now (and for the last dozen years since it's release) there are and have been NO viruses for OS X (zero, zip, nada, nill, zed)

  • @TheTessellator Really? Is that so? Then explain to me that both McAfee and CNet reported that viruses on Macs are not only at an all time high, but are growing at a rapid rate (~10% per month). Now please, don't just spew another Apple ad at me, do some real research.

  • @wilhamlin You do the research. And get yourself a BS Detector as well as a BIAS Nullifier! better yet, actually get yourself a Mac and use it. I've done so for almost 20 years, never had one single virus or anything of the kind. McAfee has software to sell, and CNET is just full of crap.

  • @auramac I have owned a Mac. And guess what, it got a virus. Why would CNET, a very reputable company, put their entire integrity on the line just to troll Mac users? That's just bad for business any way you look at it

  • @wilhamlin Impossible. You said a mac got a virus.

  • @smoshfan10 If you really believe that Macs don't get viruses then you need wake up and smell the roses

  • @wilhamlin 4 year old unprotected mac? No viruses... 1 day old windows unprotected... "Well that was a great computer, lets protect the next one". 5 month old protected windows... "Huh... Should we get linux or mac then?"

  • @smoshfan10 Well I've always ran at least one computer running windows for the past couple decades. The last time I got a virus using windows was with Windows ME, because since then I've ran antivirus on every system I used. Hell I even had the mac antivirus on the Mac I had, and well you know what happened there

  • @wilhamlin Did you go looking for this mac virus? Or was it just a really untrustworthy company?

  • @TheTessellator Exactly. I've been using my mac for four years now and had virtually no issue with it whatsoever (except for the charger breaking sometimes, but no software issues). I got it when I was ten, and as a ten year old I went on such random websites that probably would have given me very serious viruses if it hadn't been for the mac.

  • @Draven84 Mac users may get confused when there's more than 1 button.

  • @Draven84 Cling to? Apple mice have been 2+ button for 6 or 7 years.

The effect was perhaps a bit subtle for some, but very important: it made you design your application to be functional with one button. If you can pull that off, it will be easier to use and any additions of contextual menus are icing for power users. Don't make the mistake of thinking that because it was one button, there were no contextual menus.

  • lol i remember this haha the hockey pucks! We used em in elementary school. Now in high school we have 27" 2011 imacs its sweet!

  • i use to have one of those, lol

  • Hahahahahahahahaha roflmfao lol XD ..........ooow wait

  • read: It's funny because those old apple mice SUCKED, and he's marketing them as something truly amazing.

  • that is funny.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheYoshiPC

    can i have one?

  • @1992theman I found them they where no use so I took them for parts the balls screws etc..... I don't blame them there really bad. One click WTF xD

  • this mouse gave 1,013 people carpal tunnel

  • he said funnier

  • Why did people like this?

  • mac fanboys, they be hate'n

  • I guess it is funny. If you are on drugs.

  • @700gsteak Well i can assure you at this moment that it is not!

  • I used that mouse @school in '99-00'. Hated it.

  • All i heard was blipblipblipblipblip

  • Look at that lightsaber just under the video to the right!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHA THAT MOUSE IS GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD, ITS REVOLUTIONARY!!! EVERYBODY MUST HAVE THAT MOUSE...HAHAHA NOW THAT IS FUNNY

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs

  • GET A LIFE,THAT'S NOT FUNNY AT ALL Dx

  • fucking hated that mouse.

  • This is one time I have to disagree with Steve. I remember using that mouse attached to a Mac back in 2000 and it sucked. It didn't fit well inside my hand and it would usually rotate in my hand causing me to use it either sideways or turned at a 45 degree angle. I'm glad they discontinued the circular mouse. Using it was a challenge and annoying.

  • I'm using the 'puck' mouse right now.

10 years old, still going strong.

Use it all the little long day without a hint of repetitive stress.

I could care less if 99% hate it.

  • I love that mouse, using it now because my magic mouse batteries run out. :( Anyway you've got to remember how much sleeker and comfortable it was compared to the brick like ones every other computer had.

  • @AppleMacgic911

    Two words: ONE BUTTON

  • 895 people used the mouse including me.

  • i have that mouse stapled to a sign that says "F*CK APPLE"

    no like really i do

  • I actually liked the mouse. Lot's of people say it was too small, but it never bothered me.

  • FAIL!

  • i think you should visit macuser.org

  • the dislike bar is funnier :D

  • @chupaconcha2 The dislike bar is pretty sad actually. As is everyone's sense of humor.

    RIP Dennis Ritchie

  • 219 people have used the mouse.

  • Ah yes...the carpal tunnel mouse.

  • that shit was shit!

  • blip blip blip blip blip blip blip

  • haha I've never seen that mouse, but I am tying this on my Macbook. I remember wanting one of the old school color apples when I saw the commercial. I wish I had bought one when they were the best you could get. I'd even take on the task of stuff new parts in it so it can do everything a new mac can, as much s possible at least.

  • @stoLenLogic9 i see what you mean. i love those things. if i had extra money i would buy one now and upgrade it

  • @stoLenLogic9 youve never seen that mouse? you must be 12 or something. dumbass

  • @LightCan so because I may be too young to have been able to buy a computer, that makes me a dumbass? I completely understand your reasoning....I mean that makes so much sense. I haven't ever seen this ouse, not because I was too young to buy a computer, or because no one I've ever known has owned an older mac, but because I'm a dumbass. TOTALLLLLLLY MAKES SENSE.

  • @stoLenLogic9 youre so stupid. youre too young to have been around when this mac was around. DUMBASS.

  • @LightCan I think the fact that I'm 21 and you're 22 should be a sign that I was old enough faggot.

  • If that's wonderful, think of what people where used to back then. Compare tiger to windows 2000. Although, if you look at that mouse, you get spontaneous RSI.

  • This is everything apple makes in a nutshell.

  • @kaa3164 Completely unneeded "revisioning" of shit that was never broken to begin with and then charging $100 more than anyone else making a very similar product?

    Agree...

  • I have used and, generally, like Apple's computers, but that mouse was an iDog! Worse than the shape, it was only a single button even though OSX supported right hand clicking. Fortunately two button Mac-compatible versions were readily available and cheap. Jobs was a great designer and impressive CEO, but his overuse of hyperbole was a bit ridiculous. Fortunately the wireless Magic Mouse makes up for that blunder.

  • Ive always wanted to break it open to feel the inside white stuff.

  • whats so funny in that

  • Everything Jobs had to say about an Apple product included the word 'wonderful'. For instance, "look at this USB port. It is the most wonderful USB port ever."

  • i love that mouse! it was awesome!

  • i hated that style mouse, and the one that followed it because this mouse would never react to movement and the other one would never click.

  • Not funny

  • Probably my second favorite mouse of all time. It was made obsolete by Apples final, inevitable embracing of the 2-button mouse. The biggest problem people seemed to have with it was not holding it correctly. How smart do you have to be to know that the button goes at the top. you know, where the cord comes out.

  • i only lolled at blipblipblipblip

  • Using that mouse was an exercise in agony.

  • I miss the hockey puck mouse. It was, in all honesty, great.

  • 165 people actually found this funny... smh

  • @jacketnipple You can't possibly prove that.

  • @razaccour dude i met all of those people personally and they were totally sad face :(

  • That mouse rocked. I used to kick people's asses in Quake III with that thing.

  • 705 mice don't like the 'joke'

  • "you one button mouse using freak" lol

  • I still think the mouse was neat.

  • The "hockey puck" mouse was terrible. This is funny.

  • oh shit i left that mouse in the fucking oven... oh well fuck that mouse

  • lmao what an idiot

  • beep beep beep beep 0:09 ftw

  • Ha....ha.....ha.....

  • I don't see why I would ever want anything more than my Logitech G5 from years ago. Still great for gaming, still 2 extra programmable buttons, still switch-able sensitivity. Even the multiple newer models of the same thing offer no real benefit.

  • I still have one of those, mouse included!

Next to my Macbook Pro and MiniMac, Its pretty lame. And the mouse still sucks.

  • 666 dislikes, hope everyone's ok with me destroying this.

  • OH GOD I REMEMBER THOSE.

  • (fake laughing noises)

  • wtf?

  • ...

  • the mouse is 100% not usefull.

  • This video needs a laughter track.

  • Another one is "iPhone runs OS X".

  • never used it. wow i remember when this stuff came out back when i still viewed apple as an inferior product!

  • THE PUCK!!!

  • Goddamnit I HATED that mouse...a McBiscuit is not a good thing to model a mouse after.

  • Hah he hesitated a bit there. RIP Mr. Jobs.

  • I worked in an office that had these the mouse was annoying actually but the machines got the job done

  • 487 people have not had to use this mouse before.

  • @SuperAhmed1337 t'is my second favorite mouse :3

  • @SuperAhmed1337 You can't possibly prove that.

  • you will always be my hero steve

  • saw the dislike bar and aborted

  • Could anyone give me back 16 seconds of my life?

  • @MrAlepal Nope. Too bad.

Or unless you get your fat ass doing something worthwhile like inventing a time machine, maybe you could get your 16 seconds back.

  • Yeah JOBS died.

  • Are you a Jew?

  • That was the worst mouse of all time. I remember replacing it with a normal style mouse the very next day.

  • That mouse sucked. But Steve rocks. RIP.

  • he died

  • @MegaOuster lol

  • R iPod

  • i wish i had two genitalia

  • Flagged for misleading text.

  • We use cats instead of mouses.... :D

  • OMG geez people, it is called pressing Ctrl and clicking. There is your right click. It isn't much harder than using right click!

  • We had these mouse in school when I was a kid and I dont remember them being that bad.

  • Hahaha... That was one of the best jokes ever! :-D Fuck ergonomics.

  • lol that mouse was fucking awful. I was in 3rd grade when that computer came out and I loved the computer but HATED the mouse. You'd think you were holding it right until you looked and saw that when you pushed up the curser went down and the button was touching your PALM.

  • Look at this mouse. Here at apple, we believe you should no longer have the ability to use your middle finger!

  • steve jobs is a genius.

  • steve you're an idi0t

  • @vl199 your gay

  • steve you're an idiot

  • @vl199 and youre an faggot

  • I think it's a really cool mouse, the only thing is it feels like a hockey puck in your hand.

  • This mouse this the one of the 3 biggest Apple failure product.

  • I'm a big Apple fan and those mice were good when i was four but they are really quite honestly awful

  • God-awful mouse.

  • I HATED this mouse in Graphic Design class, ages ago.

  • i kinda know what you're meaning , and it goes like this :

    - he shows a picture of the mouse .

    - he's saying " it's the most wonderful mouse you've ever hold in your hands " .

    - but you disagree , because the mouse isn't that wonderful .

    am i correct ?

  • if its so funny, why didnt i laugh?

  • Hockey puck with one button

  • That mouse is the most pathetic piece of junk I have ever laid my lilly white hands on (and paid for) when I got it with my G3 in 1998. Useless, because you can't feel its orientation. Still have it somewhere, unused and unwanted. Arrogant BigMacBrotherCompany.

  • Holy shit! Jobs owns a suit?

  • That mouse was great, if you had tiny hands.

The reason that mouse was great was because it was something different, much like the iMac at that time. It wasn't a boring black or beige box with a monitor sitting on or near it. It was colorful, fun, compact, and exciting to people, which made it a huge hit. Changing just about everything was the goal. This didn't want to be the desktop that everyone uses for business, but the desktop people use for fun.

  • @Atlink You mean a desktop for hippies

  • @temporaldisplacement the proximity sensor which detects objects locks up the screen so your ear doesn't hangup during a call

  • @hey7328 I been in the room with people when they've hung up on someone with an iPhone just as I described.

  • @temporaldisplacement they were probably only holding the bottom part of their iPhone and tilting it and so the proximity sensor didn't detect anything it didn't lock
