Maybe they put alot of emotion in it, so do us. But that's no reason to dis every single English dub. They are people, too. It also depends on the studio a lot of times too. FMA was wonderfully done. Ponyo on the other hand.

If you remember the final scene of the original movie, the claw on the tank (my opinion) was exerting at least three times the pressure on her head than the power-armor's foot. Also, this is a full, top of the line military cybernetic body. Not something you'd get at best buy or the black market. @JonPanganiban Ghost in the Shell is one of the few anime's that get close to the amount of emotion the original Japanese voices have. But in general, they can never get close. Nice try.

@Nilani There are always exceptions, but most Japanese female voice actors sound the exact same and most of the time they don't convey realistic emotions as well as good American actors. I'll admit that English dub is bad for the non-popular animes, but when the better animes are translated, and good English voice actors are hired (since the better animes can afford better actors), it'll be the best you can find anywhere.

Probably my Favorite Scene from GIT:SAC, just the pure raw fury from the Major made it awesome. After all, the guy in the suit was responsible for massacring half a dozen + civilians, wounding Togusa, drugging her boss, and trying to kill her. I know I'd be pretty ticked. Not to mention the writers using the natural muzzle rise from the weapon as a point was brilliant.

Heartless nothing. If you proceed to fire at someone after they have surrendered, you've crossed the line. In this case she's downright sadistic. The guy was already down and willing to get out of his suit and surrender and she proceeds to shoot him several times to the point he could barely breath. As for her arm, she could get it replaced.

The man in question is a guy who like said, injured many people she knew, killed numerous civilians, and would have gotten away with it scott free due to working for a government organization.

Plus, in reality, and in situations like this one, surrender means nothing. Those who surrender can easily come back and kill you when you do not have an army or represent a country.

Oh don't try to justify shooting someone by saying that it doesn't work like that in the real world because in the real world, if you pull a stunt like that, a court-martial is the last thing you need to worry about.

However, when you and your group have already been deemed unnecessary or dangerous and are going to be targeted for destruction anyway, it doesn't exactly matter if you do something at that point that would land you in trouble.

The only issue is whether or not your conscious and those of your team can allow such a thing or not at this point.

Unfortunetley in the real world people aren't perfect, and if they were it wouldn't be interesting.

When people's friends and allies have almost been shot to death (Togusa and to a lesser extent Bato) and then almost killed themselves, people pass straight by the point of reasonable force.

The whole point of this scene was to show the normally calm Major completely losing all sense of constraint.

Exactly right. This situation is off the books on both sides. Section 9 already operated in sketchy legal territory, and the black ops unit sent to deal with them is probably operating under similar orders. Furthermore, "war crimes" are only relevant when you're dealing with two countries fighting each other. This is an internal matter, and would only be subject to whatever laws Japan had that addressed the two sides - likely none, given that both are black/grey ops teams.

That's not the case for either side here, so war crimes are irrelevant.
