It's a go-motion test.
It is very smooth stop-motion, basically.
Done digitally.
There was only one sewcond of it, but that one second was 24 frames that this chap had to take! It's a very long, vigorous process.
Jurassic Park was going to use Go-Motion before Spielberg made a deal with the devil and used CGI Not-so-Special Effects.
