Just now this show is meaningless? It's been meaningless for a long time. It's a show for young teens, who have the time and desire to call hundreds of times each for their favorite performer (not artist, but performer). Most viewers are like those girls who go to see teeny-bopper groups and scream their heads off, and put posters of their "boyfriend" on their walls. The show has NEVER been about quality. It's always been about what will increase the show's bottomline.

It's about putting out marketable pop acts that will sell to young teens who gush over pop groups. Most years, the show's about getting a white winner, to appeal to the majority white viewers. Chikezie's black, and he's "dark," and sings a more mature, adult style. He'll have a career, and consider him lucky to not be handcuffed by AI. He's too good for this show.
The voters AREN'T thinking. When did smarts, intellect, or rational thinking ever factor into the voting by all these teeny kids who fall in love with their favorite pop singers? Remember, everyone, this is just a TV show. It's all calculated and controlled. Nothing happens without the will of the people who run the show. Chikezie doesn't cater to the predominantly young, white teen audience. Blacks are usually the first to go. The talented Ruben and Fantasia only won to counter the criticisms.

Pulling the race card wouldn't do any favour to anyone critical against the bottom 3 that night. It's a stupid popularity show after all and Chikezie might haven't impressed kids between ages 13-18 enough. Anyways, I thought Chikezies performance was decent. Simon was right, but not about Syesha. The only thing that aggravates me the most is that smiling Barbie Lee Cock is still on for another week. And for what? For singing the national song? Nice way of fishing votes from patriots.

i wanted him to make at least the top 7 or 6, but this show is becoming a popularity contest instead.....take david archuleta. he is REALLY good, but there are past idol contestants better than him and people like him just because hes young

I like Chikezie. He sounded very good. I just don't know why he has to go so soon. He's on eof my favorites. I'm from the Philippines. So now I am hoping for David Cook or Ramiele to make it on the Top 2.

hey, let's just respect how america voted okay? if they get voted off, that doesn't mean that they're not good... somebody has to go each week... the real test if a contestant is good or not is if after he gets voted off, he gets a record... right?

Why dis him for his personality? That's the least of his flaws, if you want to say that was a flaw. I say that he was always walking the tightrope on the show. He wasn't always spot on, and to be a pop star - which I would never recommend (true artists are their own people and they don't belong to corporations) you have to be.

Just now this show is meaningless? It's been meaningless for a long time. It's a show for young teens, who have the time and desire to call hundreds of times each for their favorite performer (not artist, but performer). Most viewers are like those girls who go to see teeny-bopper groups and scream their heads off, and put posters of their "boyfriend" on their walls. The show has NEVER been about quality. It's always been about what will increase the show's bottomline.

No originality, thats what got him out seems like. I have to say I loved his performance and I had to watch it one more time here on youtube since it got stuck on my mind!. His voice is wonderful, he really sounds like the original ... I am sad he is gone and I wished a couple of female contestants should have been gone first. (brunette who totally over did her song and blond who sang Sting "every breath you take")

Ok, what is this show about?? It's about looks or It's about singing or about what?? Asiah, Danny Hernandez, and Amanda were eliminated eventhough they look good and can sing. It's ridiculious that Kristi Lee still in the competition. There should be something else happening in this competition, or Am I in the upside down world??????

Is this the first season you've seen? This show's about the pop marketing machine. It's not about putting out quality singers. It's about putting out marketable pop acts that will sell to young teens who gush over pop groups. Most years, the show's about getting a white winner, to appeal to the majority white viewers. Chikezie's black, and he's "dark," and sings a more mature, adult style. He'll have a career, and consider him lucky to not be handcuffed by AI. He's too good for this show.

The voters AREN'T thinking. When did smarts, intellect, or rational thinking ever factor into the voting by all these teeny kids who fall in love with their favorite pop singers? Remember, everyone, this is just a TV show. It's all calculated and controlled. Nothing happens without the will of the people who run the show. Chikezie doesn't cater to the predominantly young, white teen audience. Blacks are usually the first to go. The talented Ruben and Fantasia only won to counter the criticisms.

for me this season of american idol is the most suck of all season. They were wrong in voting chekeze out he has talent. Christy lee should have been voted off she has no talent' just because she is cute. Next time they should voted off the one who has no talent at all , iam not only talking about christy also others. Hope the judges realize that they were wrong on voting chekeze out also with amanda overmyer. Peace!

u do realize its not the judges that vote its america. The judges have nothing to do with it anymore, they state their opinion on the performance & the rest is left up to america. People are complaining that he got voted out & putting down other contestants that are still in but half of those ppl probably didnt even pick up the phone to vote. Everyone has different musical preferences. PPl that prefer jason castros style will vote for him, same with kristy & so on. its noones fault except ur own
