  • Glenn Beck is a mormon why is he on a christian program ?

  • I'm glad Glen found happiness. I with that people would look for happiness for themselves instead of trying to make others unhappy in this world. Too many haters!

  • Glen Beck, alcoholic and drug addict and Pat Robertson delusional and psychotic old man, add them together and you have proof that God is nonexistent...

  • Robertson and Beck only worship one god: MONEY.

  • Mormonism is a dark, dark place....

  • beck is such a con

  • mormons aren't christians.

  • Even Glenn says in the interview "if I do everything that you asked me to do" Why are mormons so wrapped up in pointing the finger at all these things WE have to do instead of Jesus finished work. Don`t call yourself my Christian brother until you point the finger away from yourself and point that finger at Jesus. The mormon bible says you can`t have forgiveness until after you have done all that you can do on your own! That directly contradicts Gods word.

  • @bowtechspeedfreak John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. - A call from Christ himself to action. We are saved by the Grace of Christ, but that doesn't mean we don't have to actually take some action ourselves.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. - another call to action from Christ himself.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall bide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

  • @Troydnlsn This will be easy...as shocking as this may seem to you we don`t have to "take some action ourselves" as you say.Galations 3:1-5 Paul scolds the galations for teaching works. Paul was a former pharacy, they had to live holy and do works,he later said that he counted all his works as crap in the shadow of the cross. He also said if anyone thinks they need to do works to achieve salvation he is an "ENEMY OF THE CROSS" This is unto salvation..then there is another judgement for Christians

  • @bowtechspeedfreak Luke 9:23-24 "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it." - Again, Christ's own words. If we are to follow Christ we take action to do so.

  • @Troydnlsn The only action he mentioned there is a hypathetical "take up your cross" what is the cross? A symbol of forgiveness.Romans 3:20 noone will be made rightious in his sight by works. verse 23 for all have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory and are justified freely by his grace.Rom. 4:4 when a man WORKS his wage is not a gift, but to the man that DOES NOT WORK but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as rightiousness.Salvation has nothing to do with works brother

  • @Troydnlsn Right, you can't earn salvation from your own works. That does not mean that you do nothing. Matthew 12:49, 50 “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” - The direct words of Christ himself calling you to actually DO something, keep his commandments. Christ didn't just say believe on me and then don't bother keeping my commandments, always He calls us to action.

  • @Troydnlsn Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

  • "The mormon bible"? Are you talking about the King James version? Because not only mormons, but most Christians use it also.

What did Jesus tell the rich man who asked him what he needed to do to be saved?... "...sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor,... and come, take up the cross, and follow me." Mark 10:21 "...faith without works is dead" James 2:20. So I guess you are right; the Bible does teach that we are expected to follow Christ & do all we can to obey His teachings.

  • @LDSTrueDoctrine Romans 4:4-5 When a man "works" his wage is not a gift but as an obligation. However to him who "does not work" but trusts in God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as rightiousness.

We can all throw scripture around but when get to heaven and they ask me why I should get in? I`ll point to Jesus and you can tell us how good you are and see where that gets you.

  • @bowtechspeedfreak

    Matthew 25:14-30

So when you "point to Jesus", what do you think he will say to YOU?...

I will gladly be about my Master's business until I stand before Him. ;-)

  • @LDSTrueDoctrine He will say "you did not try to establish your own rightiousness, but trusted in me to be the end of the law,and that way there may be rightiousness for EVERYONE who will only believe" Romans 10:3-4

  • @bowtechspeedfreak The most ant-Christ thing about mormonism is not trusting in works,it`s not following the false teachings of a proven liar and sexual pervert named joe the false prophet smith. No it`s doing the same thing satan did when he was cast down,he said "I will be like God"

Mormons think they are equal to Jesus and will go have spirit sex and populate other planets. This is why j.s. claimed there were people living on the moon and b.y. taught there were also people on the sun! REALLY?

  • i like how he changed the story of how his mom died, are you sure your not selling the book for money?? -.-

  • To learn more about the LDS Church, go to mormon.org

I appreciate it when people ask us (yes, I'm a Mormon) what we believe in, instead of telling us what we believe. We don't lie, we're not trying to deceive, we feel and know that it is true. That doesn't make everybody else wrong or bad or going to hell. We feel we have the truth in its completeness. We believe in God and Jesus Christ and Holy Ghost.

We're Christian. People that slander us, call us false aren't acting very Christlike

  • @abcboodles NO SIR, YOU ARE NOT CHRISTIANS!

  • @alexheston8 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World.

Merry Christmas! We are Christian. What are you?

  • @abcboodles Christians are monotheists. You are not. Jesus is God With Us. Your Jesus is an exalted man.

  • I think they may end up in bed together .:o)

  • he crys like an insane man.. Well he is a delusional, fruitcake, he perverts history though, on his show 24/7 people need to read up on the US and the world religion, and grasp how horrible he really is on his tv show. He seems to use religion and emotion to make people think ooo he cares so much but his message is fracked up on his tv show.

  • Wow, the apostacy is so rampant, so widespread, so cancerous, where does one go? The end times are here people, prepare to leave these joker, Mormons, Jehovah witness's , the Glen Becks, the 700 club, the Christian scienctists, the Dianetics, the new age, on and on and on. OH,and dont forget "chrislam and the purpose driven life. The true church gets no publicity. NONE, because we are not meant for this world....

  • People are a lot more braver on the internet, it's easier for them to spread lies when they don't have to look at the people they are lying to. Just my thought on all the negativity and rude, untrue comments I've seen on Youtube.

  • Mormonism is a cult!! What's your deal anyways, Troydnlsn? If people dont agree with you or if they are against Mormonism they are Trolls?? That's just messed up!! Why dont you go read the BIBLE and see what IT says? Dont take my word for it, go and find out for yourself!!! There is only ONE God/Jesus and it's not the one in the Book of Mormon!!!

  • @TheRedeemed64 If all you ever do on YouTube is bash Mormons with the same old lies - that makes you a pathetic internet troll. I don't have time for trolls.

Read the Bible? I do! Constantly! It goes hand in hand with the Book of Mormon. I absolutely LOVE the Bible! I love who the Bible teaches Christ is. The Son of God. He, (Christ) was sent to do his Father's will. He (Christ) does nothing but what he see's his Father doing. Christ is truly the Son of God.

  • Jesus said "I do nothing of myself accept I have seen my father also do." This can only mean Christ's Father was also born once like Jesus was, and also died and was resurected. Man is also resurected like God. As God is, man will become. Not unbiblical at all. Christ said ,be ye therefore perfect like you father in heaven. Deny the Bible, deny LDS if you will!

  • @ShaunK181 You are twisting the ancient scriptures, and making it fit your own demonic program. I give you Paul, a true apostle who said Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven should preach uto you any gospel other than that which we preaced unto you, let him be anathema. 2 Corintians 6:14-7 1: Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? What communion has light with darkness? What concord has christ with Belial?

  • glen beck sucks he sells bad press and anarchy in politics and makes irational statements please get him off the air!!!!!!!!!!

  • What's worse? Glenn Beck thinking he's smart or Pat Robertson being dumb enough to believe it. The breathy tone used throughout by both....priceless

  • Did you know that Glenn Beck, as a Mormon, believes that somewhere in eternity past God and his wife first existed as mortals on a different earth, overseen by their Heavenly Father and Mother. This mortal couple died, received resurrected bodies, and eventually achieved godhood. They then procreated the millions of spirit children that would be sent to this earth as mortals. Thus God is part of an eternal chain of gods procreating spirit children for different worlds Beck believes he too can b

  • @Maximus9364 Anti mormon bigotry. Be gone troll!

  • @Troydnlsn How is he wrong?

  • @GohModley I see your other posts, troll elsewhere.

  • @Troydnlsn Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven should preach uto you any gospel other than that which we preaced unto you, let him be anathema. As we have said before , so I say now again, if any man preaches unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema. 2 Corin 6:14-7 1: Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? What communion has light with darkness? What concord has christ with Belial?

  • @twocentsin6 What kind of gospel did Christ & the Apostles preach? Faith & Repentance followed by baptism by immersion by one holding authority. (Acts 2:37-38; John 3:3-5; Matt. 3:13-17; Matt. 4:17; Mark 16:16) Christ also instituted an organization of unpaid ministry consisting of Apostles, Prophets, Bishops, Seventies etc. (Matt. 10:8; 1 Cor. 9:18; John 10:11-13; Acts 20:33-35; 2 Thess. 3:7-8) Priesthood authority by the laying on of hands (Heb. 5:4; 1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6)

  • @Troydnlsn You pick scripture, from the bible, & it is true, but then you can't hold up the book of Mormon and say any of it is true. Explain Paul's warning in Galatians 1: 8-9, here Joseph Smith says he was visited by God and Jesus "angel"! Well, even if "a Jesus of a different kind" or even "an angel from heaven" comes preaching, we should not believe it, because demons can easily disguise themselves as an angel of light. Mormons will easily fall for antichrist lies, soon to come.

  • @twocentsin6 What Paul is saying is for us not to be deceived. He's not saying that a visitation of ANY angel will be false. God has always sent Angels and always will - God is unchanging. Angels ministered to many in the Bible after Paul wrote to the Galatians. John in Revelation spoke of an Angels that would come in the future.

  • @Troydnlsn Paul is saying even if an angel from heaven comes preaching anything other than what has already been written in the Bible, then it is false, and they should be ousted from the true church, which is those that believe in the sound doctrine of the bible. See? You twist things to fit your beliefs into something that just isn't there. Not written in the bible.

  • @twocentsin6 Paul is not saying to ignore God when he sends a messenger. Remember Paul changed a huge policy because he obeyed an angel sent from God. I think you totally misunderstand what Paul was teaching.

  • @Troydnlsn I don't understand your point to give all this scripture to defend mormonism...? And this is the deciept of the Mormon church. They hold up the bible, but then when they hook you, they introduce in all their added false doctrines, which are nowhere to be found in the ancient scriptures of the bible.

  • @Troydnlsn And one more scripture that would be good to read: Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by your name, and by your name cast out demons, and by your name do many mighty works? And then will I (Jesus) profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. He does not appreciate those that consider the bible not good enough, and go off writing lies abouth him, his Father, and the holy spirit.

  • @twocentsin6 I love the book of Matthew. You forgot verse 21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." The Book of Mormon teaches us to follow Christ and try to follow in his footsteps. We obey his commandments as found in the Bible. We actually follow the Gospel as He taught it. We have the organization as he instituted it. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

  • @Troydnlsn Right! By your fruits, which is twisting the holy scriptures. That's what keeps me totally away from Mormons.

  • @Troydnlsn See, the Mormons say, "Isn't the manifestation of the supernatural the evidence that this is a work of God, even if it is not found in Scripture? And are not signs and wonders the evidence of the work of God, even if the specific signs and wonders are not found in Scripture? The answer is a decisive "NO". Read II corinthians 11: 3-4 and 13-15. "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ.

  • @Troydnlsn And, Troy the Book of Mormon does not in any way, sense, or form, go hand in hand with the Bible, or there would not be a "Book of Mormon". There are many Mormons who say to me, "The bible has been messed with, re written, and distorted." That is not true at all, and the dead sea scrolls discovered in 1947 prove the old testament. With the acception that the book of Esther was not found. But, for all the rest, not one thing was changed.

  • @twocentsin6 The Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the Bible. I also find it strange that you'd hold up the Dead Sea Scrolls as evidence. The people who hid the scrolls in the earth - wait, where have I heard of a group of religious people hiding their records in the earth before? anyway, they also had other scriptures they valued as much as the books that now make up the Bible. To claim their Bible matches our Bible today is a big stretch. They also had Baptism before Christ and John.

  • @Troydnlsn Why don't you hold up those golden plates that Joseph Smith supposedly found? where are they?

  • @twocentsin6 So, I just looked at your account info. Signed up about two weeks ago and you've done nothing but comment on LDS related videos. How many different logins do you have on Youtube? That's kind of deceitful.

  • @Maximus9364 ... Who cares? Take your bashing somewhere else, please.

  • @Maximus9364 Thus God is part of an eternal chain of gods procreating spirit children for different worlds Beck believes he too can b

Thats what Christ promises in your bible. We can all become as he is and receive all that he has.In fact its a command to become like Him.Of course we cant become that in this life but we can and will in the next.Simple

  • I'm not anti- Mormon people i'm Anti Mormon Doctrine. Before people get on me for that,Just ask yourself if you were here at my house and heard what the Mormon missionaries said about my religion.Have you ever read what their prophets, apostles and gen authority said about the different religions and colors of people?

  • Why Is He On this Show? Isn't he a Mormon?

  • How can anyone respect these two charlatans?

  • Two of the biggest reasons that have convinced poor white trash to vote against their own best interests. Jesus would kick them both in the jaw.

  • The LDS church teaches that protestant pastors (Pat Robertson) are agents of the devil. As a Christian it makes me sick that Robertson would suck up to this worm. For me, this proves POLITICS has always been the 700 clubs bottom line, NOT CHRIST!

  • @koishooter The men themselves aren't evil. Not even all of the doctrines. But when you look at how many Christian churches there are in the United States alone (2000+), you have to question which is right and which is wrong. You also have to question that if God is not a "respecter of persons", why were there prophets and Apostles during all of the Biblical times and not now? Also, how did they get their authority to act in His name? What made them so special?

  • Beck's show cancelled. THERE IS A GOD.

  • @Chadolution Glenn didn't renew his contract with Fox. He wasn't canceled.

  • @Chadolution glenn has a network of his own now. what you got but an attitude and freedom to show your ass on youtube?

  • glenn beck + the 700 club = RETARDED IDIOTS

  • For all the ignorance of the people commenting. If you spent more time and energy trying to find the cure to cancer versus trying to tare down the faith of one the largest religions in our nation we might acutally find a cure. I am LDS and I am not decieved. I have attended other churches and the Holy Ghost has testified to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church upon the face of the earth. That God has a living prophet. I dont need to prove anything.

  • More facial flatulation from two of the worlds greatest stool samples :)

  • Christianity teaches that God (the three in one Godhead) loved us so much that he sent Himself (as the Son, one part of the Godhead) to die for our sins so we can eternally live and glorify Him, not to become gods like Him. Mormon doctrine does not teach the truth of the bible and in fact distort the gospel greatly. Please read Galatians 1:6-10, and see the that the differences between Mormonism and Christianity are very VERY great that that if you are Mormon you are being deceived.

  • @themange59 where does the bible say that God sent himself? from what I read it says He sent his Son.

  • @Troydnlsn John 1:9 - 13 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God

  • @Troydnlsn friend, as u learn Scripture, see the Progressive Revelation told to us that God is a Holy Trinity,WE CAN'T fully comprehend it,if we could figure God out, He would't be worth worshipping! not 1+1+1=3 seprate "gods" NO! 1x1x1=1 Eliohim, all Hebrew ending in "im" is PLURAL! Genesis 1:1 God (Eliohim) created...note The Spirit of God, mentioned too. Genesis 1:26 let US make man in OUR image...God's not talking 2 angels,He is talking 2 Himself,God The Son,God The Father,God The Spirit !

  • @Jallulah The closer you get to the time of Christ, the closer the views to LDS thought.

"As a king sends his son, who is also a king, so sent He Him; as God He sent Him; as to men He sent Him; as a Saviour He sent Him, and as seeking to persuade, not to compel us; for violence has no place in the character of God." Epistle to Diognetus - Mathetes The Trinity is a 3rd century invention that is not clearly represented in the Bible

  • you have no idea what your talking about. I belong to only true church upon the face of the earth. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Gods True Church. Quote scripture all you want.

  • your pretty ignorant. The scripture does not say that if your going to quote the bible lets quote it they way it actually says it. " God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe shall persish but have everlasting life. Now even the baseball fans get that right. I am mormon and do believe That God sent his son, who is seperate from the Father. Show me in the bible where the word trinity is. Trinity is a man made word that was created in 320 ad.

  • Compared the bible " I am the first, I am also the last and there is no God besides Me" (Isiah 44:6, 48:12, 45:14,21-22). There is only ONE God, not many.

"As man is, God once was: as God is, man may be" (Lorenzo Snow, Millenial Star, vol.54). This is 100% false, Mormonism is deceiving people, we never attain godhood, only to be the adopted sons and daughters of God through salvation from Jesus (one part of the ONE God that died for our sins).

  • @themange59 "if the Word has been made man, it is so that men may be made gods" - Saint Irenaeus

  • @themange59 The command Be ye perfect is not idealistic gas. Nor is it a command to do the impossible. He is going to make us into creatures that can obey that command. He said (in the Bible) that we were "gods" and He is going to make good His words. If we let Him-for we can prevent Him, if we choose-He will make the feeblest and filthiest of us into a god or goddess . . .

  • @themange59 While I am no defender of Mormonism, you might want to check your early church history (I don't mean Mormon, but for the first few centuries after Christ's crucifixion). It was by no means a given that Christ was divine, although that is where popular opinion landed. "Son of God" or "Son of Man" was a common euphemism for human and the nature of Christ was and is debatable. For me, this in no way lessens His importance.

  • The 700 Club and Pat Robinson have really gone down hill. They do not stand up for the Truth anymore. They only do their political stuff.

If Mormons want to become Christians, there is good news! They still can repent and turn away from Mormonism...

  • @rickgigliotti Read the four responses I gave to rockyrock. It may open your eyes.

  • What a shame that Pat would have a member of a cult on the 700 club and treat him like a brother in Christ. This is misleading to those that may be weak in their faith and to non-Christians!

The book of Mormon is a false teaching and another gospel, it's anathema. They believe in another Jesus, they don't believe in the Trinity, they believe you work your way to heaven, they believe Jesus is the brother of Satan. They believe God had relations with woman etc etc....They are a cult!

  • Mormons have "another" testament (scripture) and a different god (actually many)

If Mormons want to become Christians, there is good news! You still can be...

  • @rickgigliotti Do your research. You will find that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when compared with Ancient Christianity is closer than anyone else.

  • @monty287 U-again... must be a slow day... explain what this "different gospel is , Whats the problem can't find one of those servants to run and ask one of your Gods... you've got many . Send that servant ... that one that didn't quite make it to one of those heavens in the sky... the one that didn't kiss enough earthly ass. Send him... he'll get a answer for ya...

Anything that is too stupid to be spoken is sung. Try a little Rap... that should work !

  • @onstageagain I'm asking you. I have asked you. Repeatedly. You have dodged the question multiple times. Now is the time to answer. What is it?

  • 2 crazy guys together! Nuts do seem to like each other>

  • Maybe you should set your account so comments should be approved by you. Whats going to happen is all these people who claim to be Christian are going to jump on each others bandwagon of Hate.

Jude 1;3 my brother. I contend.. sorry. But I make no apology for who I am.

  • glen beck = hemorrhoid with eyes ,. Pat robinson = Freemason fag

  • What a ham. It's nice to know that a man like Glenn Beck apparently thinks he can tell god what he's going to do? Is that for real?

  • I like Glenn Beck. Who cares if he's a Mormon? This is a good story.

  • A couple comments: Beck should not threaten God in the way he described. Even if he did, it is not a good way to be with God, so not something that should be promoted. Also, as a member of the LDS Church he really needs to talk about it. In this interview I didn't hear anything about the Book of Mormon, etc. It is also very difficult to find anything about the Gospel on his website.

  • The fact remains, an exalted man will never save anyone.

  • @awolLDSasap never say never

  • Why did he hesitate when he said he dedicated his life to the ... "Lord"? He can't say "Jesus Christ" because he is afraid to mention his name. Remember, the bible says that NO ONE can say Jesus Christ is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. This should give anyone pause before saying that Glenn is a Christian.

  • what a piece of crap

  • I can't believe that they had Glenn who is a in a cult(mormon) on the 700 club, Pat has lost his gord. Even Pat with his flaky views knows the LDS church is a cult, they have a different jesus and a different gospel.

    How sick!

  • Correct me if Im wrong, but don't Mormons use the same bible as all the other Christian faiths, but they also use the Book of Mormon? Is the Book Of Mormon just another testament of Jesus Christ? If this is true then why do all of these people question them? Do they doubt Christ could have had appeared to other civilations around the world to spread his gospel? f so does this mean that they doubt Christ?

  • @blitzkev2008 The reason that Chrstians do not agree w/ Mormon is because the LDS church's teaching are opposed to the teachings of Jesus in the bible. The person Jesus reveals himself to be in the bible is not the same Jesus in the scriptures. The Book of Mormon in 1 Nephi 13 discredits the bible and says that so many things have been taken out and added that it cannot be trusted. Christ could have come to America, but He didn't. He left his church to spread his gospel and it has.

  • @Isaiah469 Nephi is short for "Nephillium"

  • @twocentsin6 What's with the name calling? When people start calling names that's all they have left.

  • @blitzkev2008 We do use the same Bible that other Christain's use. We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior. We believe that the Book of Mormon is just another Testament of Jesus Christ. So yes I believe your logic is correct :)

  • @AmandaWheeler2009

That just seems like a common sense thing to me. It also seems like a lot of people commenting on Glenn Beck have alot of hate in their hearts or a lot of wrong information. Maybe their just mad because their preacher told them that Mormons are of the devil or something and they should hate them and try to correct their evil ways. Or maybe their preachers tell them this kind of information because they get paid to preach the good word, while Mormon leaders do for free.hmmmmm

  • @blitzkev2008 I personally believe that all men who claim that Jesus Christ is their Savior is a Christian. I personally don't understand why people get so hung up on their differences. Why not look at the similarities? Maybe I am just an optimist. haha

  • @onstageagain @monty287 @Sephuskal

Let's keep it civil :) I ban people who get abusive.

  • "WE did not practice the bible"

I see, and I believe you when YOU say that,

But just answer me this question please and thanks; Did your wife REALLY give birth to your kids in her Garments?

  • @Sephuskal Let's see if he'll actually give an answer this time. He still has yet to tell me what is his standard of a Christian. I think it's because he's afraid that we actually fall under that standard. Same with all antis.

  • @monty287 I doubt he will. I can't see where he reconfirms his wife gave Birth in her Garments. If this is true It reconfirms my Hypothisis that all Anti Christs / Anti Mormons / apostates / And D-Bags in General have Mental Illness's.

Since the word christian is only used 3 times in the Bible, and one of those was out of Mockery, I am good with the term Saint instead, since that is what Christ Called his believers, and it occurs at least 36 times. lol

keep up the good work Brother.

  • @monty287 Why don't you please tell all of us what your standard of a Christian is.

  • @blitzkev2008 Certainly. A Christian is anyone who believes and follows the teachings of Jesus the Christ.

  • @monty287 I'm afraid that's the most watered down idea of Christianity possible. A follower of Christ is not just someone who thinks Christ had some good ideas that we should listen to and implement into our every day routines in order to have better lives. A follower of Christ is someone who has been called by the Lord to His unearned, undeserved grace and been covered with it, removing their guiltiness before the Lord based on Christ's righteousness alone.

  • @rockyrock It is watered down. Mainly because this is YouTube, there's a limited amount of space, and most of the people I encounter on this site can't be bothered to read more than a paragraph. There is one part of your comment that I cannot believe. Why would God only choose a select group of people to return to Him? Are not all the people of the earth His children (see Hebrews 12:9)? Wouldn't a loving Father want ALL of His children to come to him?

  • @rockyrock What about the people who have never even heard the name Jesus Christ? What about all those people who have lived and died throughout time never knowing the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? What about people like Ghandi compared to the conquistadors

  • @rockyrock There is a big problem thinking that God has chosen only you and a select others to live with him after the resurrection. With the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus the Christ, He has already chosen you. He has already chosen everybody from the beginning of time to the end of it. The only thing that is stopping us from receiving the full benefits of the atonement is our choosing Him. He will never force anyone to come to Him. That is our choice alone.

  • @rockyrock And even then, we must follow everything that He taught (see John 14:15). That means faith, repentance, baptism by immersion (not sprinkling), the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost by one who has authority (see Matt 3:16, Acts 19:3-6, Hebrews 5:4), and enduring to the end, continually repenting for mistakes that have been done that day. Believe it or not, we can, and sometimes do, fall from grace.

  • @monty287 "For many are called, but few are chosen." Matthew 22:14

"When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed." Acts 13:48

  • @monty287 "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified." Romans 8:29-30

  • "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure." 1 Peter 1:1-2

  • @monty287 Christian means "little Christ",it is a person that let Christ lives in him.People can believe and follow ,but can have a crooked heart as well.

  • @monty287

A Christian is someone who places their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life and realizes they can't follow the teachings of Jesus the Christ. The teachings or the law or the 10 commandements clearly show us we are unable to live up to the standards God set for man. Once we realize we are unable to live to these standards and place our trust in Christ for salvation and turn from our sins and ask Him to change our hearts is when we become a Christian. Born again.

  • @kimkerchner That's what I said. Just not in so many words.

  • @monty287

Monty, I think you said that anyone who believes and follows the teaching of Jesus is a Christian. I said places our trust in Jesus and realizes that we can't follow His teachings. When we examine ourself, we fall short of everything Jesus taught. Glenn is a nice fellow but he is earning his way to heaven by trying to do good on his own efforts. The Holy Spirit changes our heart as a result of placing our trust in Jesus. We fail to follow by our own efforts. Totally different.

  • I believe its the restored Church, and the bible we have now was written by three different christian sects after the great apostasy.

  • I have to wonder if Pat Robertson actually finished that book. :) I would hope so I am just glad he went into more detail of it on this since I had no idea what it was about this is a very powerful message I may have to get it now. I met Glenn myself for the first time in 2007 and I remember him sharing his life story and conversion. I at the time had no idea who he was. I hear others attack him and personally I believe it is because he is so real, love him or hate him I believe he is sincere.

  • Hey! Glenn Beck is getting all choked up again why am I not surprised. Not sticking around to see if he actually cries.

  • The early Church Fathers also never claimed the authority of an Apostle. They also believed and taught a lot of doctrine that is now viewed heretical to mainstream christianity.

  • @paulfbest Thats what im thinking

  • @paulfbest

"TV evangelicISM joins forces with mormonISM

    unreal

    the end is upon us."

Where's your Christ like attributes ?

  • well for starters Mormons believe that Jesus is the spiritual brother of Lucifer. that is completely NOT what the Bible teaches. Mormons are a cult. look into it. a good book to read is The Kingdom of the Cults by

    Walter Martin

  • @ScottCharles1 Walter Martin has been proven by multiple sources to be a fraud. He was laughed out of an Orange County courthouse for trying to sue the LDS Church for slander and libel and while he claimed to be an ordained minister of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), they have proven time and again that he wasn't. Try again.

  • Isn't Beck a mormon?

  • @onstageagain He was baptized into the Church in 1999

  • @onstageagain Nothing against the book... but the releigion Mormonism... is a cult... no question about it

  • @onstageagain Nothing against the book... but the releigion Mormonism... is a cult... no question about it

Hate speech will never lift you up but pull you down.

  • @Sephuskal

    We agree so far...

Mormonism is a cult ... I was there for 35 yrs. but I'm older and wiser now. I am a Christian ...

  • @onstageagain more hate, tsk tsk

  • @Sephuskal What that got to do with hate? Its a statment of fact...

  • @onstageagain Hate is judging me and calling me a non christian when you don't even know me. You take the stance that Mormons arent Christian why? because they don't believe in the trinity? LDS believe we are the literal offspring of God like the Bible states?

    Pathetic.

  • @Sephuskal If Mormons are Christians, then Christians R, Mormons, that's not so. All Christians share in the essential core doctrine of the Church, Believing Jesus is the I Am, In Canaanite, conceived of a virgin by the holyspirit, He & He alone is the author & finisher of our faith. Believing the Bible is inherent . He was resurrected from the dead on the 3rd day, rose.Believing in their heart & confessing with the mouth , they are saved. By grace & grace alone, all Christians believe this.

  • @Sephuskal Mormons have a stripped down version , without Jesus being God, no beginning, no end, uncreated , without the virgin birth. Without salvation by Grace & Grace alone, without a Bible that's inherent, without the resurrection, only a fool would accept a striped down version & call it Christianity, LDS take a protion & attach there beliefs to it. You attach JS to it, Mormonism, not Christianity.

  • @onst How do we believe Jesus is not a part of the God Head, when we state that fact in our 1st article of faith?

How do we diminish Christ is the son of God the Father and our redeemer, when we openly state thus, and focus on his atonement and grace.

Saints don't believe in traditional Christianity, but they adhere to Christs teachings. You say I am not a Christian because I don't believe the same as you, then I say YOU are not a christian because you are being a bigot about my belief .

  • @Sephuskal LDS claim to be Christian, I say you are not. Can anyone lay claim to the title because you feel it applies, in all senses of the word? Example, the word Gentleman, was once defined by FACTS, definition of Gentleman " a man that had a coat of arms, & owned land" Those were the facts. How he behaved, was irrelevant to the title. As time passed, it became subjectively applied to people. Not by facts, but by opinion.

  • @Sephuskal Before long a gentleman didn't need a coat of arms or land , but be polite to someone , anyone to receive this title. In other-words, Not by Objective facts, but by Subjective opinion. In the end the word is meaningless , its Not based on Fact but on Opinion. One person may say hes a gentleman by not making advances on the 1st date, others give him the title because he witheld tll the 5th date. When words loose factual meaning & become somones opinion they become meaningless.

  • @Sephuskal The word Christian,1st time used, Acts11, antioch, Christians were followers of Jesus, there Master. they embraced his teachings, credited their doctrine to Him. Disciples were called Christians because they took Christ for there teacher, credited his every way to there doctrine & followed the rule of life laid down by Him, & his appointed apostles, A Christian believed in their heart confessed with there mouth & knew they were saved. This is Biblical.

  • @Sephuskal A Christian was Baptised as a expression of this faith. Christians worshiped 1 God, Christians never would be polytheistic. NEVER did Jesus teach marriage would occur in heaven, nor in order to get to a celestial kingdom you HAD to Be Married! Did not have to pay tithes. Did not have to honor a certain day of the week, wear certain garments, or enter a temple to rec ceremonial rights to be pleasing to God,

  • @Sephuskal People who follow these rules are laid down by someone other than Christ.. They are not "based on the factual definition of the word Christian" Christians! Mormons are Smithtians, not Christians. Its a fact. Because they follow the teachings of Smith. Jesus is mixed in, but they do not follow the things Jesus taught ALONE. When you assign the title Cristian to somebody because you believe of feel they are. The title looses meaning because it is subjectively applied .

  • @Sephuskal Christianity is not defined by personal opinion. Not defined by goodness or badness. If someone is good the word for that is Good, If the word is bad , the word is Bad. Not Good or Bad Christian, Christian is not a part of that sentance. LDS, has taken good or bad & decided if your Christian or Not. A good Christian, Bad Christian, but Christian non the less. Words based on facts not subjectively labeled

  • @onstageagain well I just read all your garbage and I want my 3.6 minutes of my Life Back.

Ghandi said it right. "I like your Christ, I don not like your Christians. Your Christians are nothing like your Christ."

Since Christian appears three times in the bible, and 1 time was out of mockery, and Saint occurs 36 times, I guess I'll gladly stick to the tittle of saint, since that's what Jesus Christs followers were REALLY called anyway. lol

  • @Sephuskal Well you wasted a lot less time then I did... I wasted 35 yrs with that horse shit.... Thats what I want back... so stop your bitchen...

  • @Sephuskal Well you may call this garbage... but CS Lewis , a respected Bible scholar , wrote this that I have copied and wrote . I find it exact. Not Garbage. Mormons do not follow the laws of Jesus Christ alone. You follow beliefs of a man , Joseph Smith & attach the word Christian to your title. Christian has a definition. and that is a follower of Jesus ... not Joseph Smith.

  • @onman It wasn't Christs tittle for his Followers. He called his Followers saints & the Church after his own name. He also sure as Hell didn't let some one else choose the emblems to remember him by like that Vile Cross. He chose his own emblems Bread and wine.

You like CS Lewis huh? You traded in your G's for a centaur suit and do LARPS on the weekends? lol

If you were a true Christian, you wouldn't have the stupidity to bring up the way Joseph Translated the BoM, compared to Bible stories

  • @Sephuskal You follow JS, I follow Jesus Christ... Its simple as that. Mormons belive that Joseph Smith makes the call who gets into heaven and who don't.

I'm gonna leave that up to my attorney Jesus Christ. The mormons believe you get into heaven by doing good works. My bible tells me different. No matter how good you are its Grace. Forgivness ... nothing about how good you are. How hard you work the prodical son is a perfect examply. My friend there is not need to follow a Profit.

  • @onstageagain I'll just give you a "thumbs down" for continuing to be both insulting and a Fool.

God bless you and Keep you. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior and Son of God the Father. He heads and is the chief Corner Stone of the his Kingdom on Earth, The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay SAINTS

  • @Sephuskal Here we go again... I'm a fool? Insulting? I don't see any insults except from U-R comments I refer to Bible scripture, conflicting with the BoM. You claim of being Christian. How is that possible ? when you practice from another Book conflicting with the Teachings of Jesus Christ? You have not given me a answer. My teacher says my Father made all races. Yours says blacks are cursed & will be servants forever. I speak truth, all my words come from the teaching of Jesus.

  • @onstageagain You never gave the Book of Mormon reference. You are a fool for thinking that you can disprove any of what Sephuskal or myself has said. You honestly think that we would not see through your ruse? That even though you claim to follow the Master Teacher, you do not. In that, you are a liar. If you truly were a member of the LDS Church you would know that there is just as much as esteem for the Bible as there is for the Book of Mormon and other revealed scripture.

  • @Sephuskal Oh really... I wouldn't have stupidity? Can you do any thing other than criticize me.? I put FACTS out you criticize. Because thats what I did to convience my self that I was following a false group. Where are your facts? Smith prophesied in 1832 concerning the American civil war that the British would get involved and the war would extend to all nations. This is just one of his false prophecies concerning the American civil war

  • @onstageagain You really don't know your history, do you? The British DID get involved with the Civil War. They aligned themselves with the South hoping that if they won, it would break up the United States and ease in the process of acquiring the old colonies again. When the French learned that the British joined the South, they sided with the North!
