I was born with unalienable rights for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I don't need no God damned Government, beaurocrat, politician or lawyer. Just because they signed THEIR rights away for THEIR position does not NEGATE the RIGHTS that are mine. Its the Government that desires to manage your unalienbale rights. And they have gone too far.

Nothing but a permanent body can check the imprudence of democracy....

THis is the way 'liberal media' should be. I am not a liberal, but I prefer this to any mainstream media. At least there is some honesty and reality here.
All of the MSM news channels insult their viewers by treating them like children and purposefully deciding not to broadcast certain facts.
Just look at Obama's inner circle, you people drank the kool aid. The democrats and republicans are both owned by the zionist bankers, they run the show, regardless of who is in office.
Maybe the Obamas people are having their pockets lined by banksers, but lets give him a chance, and like the man says hold his feet to the fire. But I'm not too optimistic either. I supported Obama cause I wanted the lesser of two evils.
Maybe Obama and his people are having their pockets lined by bankers, but lets give him a chance, and like the man said hold his feet to the fire. But I'm not too optimistic either. I supported Obama cause I wanted the lesser of two evils.
I believe that Obama is only slightly less interested and inclined to start more wars and trample our rights. He will do those things but only less vigorously than the Republicans.
If Obama does not have accountability for war crimes and civil rights violations the next Republican Administration that comes in will be even more emboldened and murderous.
Until I see liberty restored, torture abolished, justice served on the criminal elements of the Corporate elite and the Bush administration... I'll remain sceptical on Obama's "CHANGE".
How about Elliot Spitzer as Att'y General? When he was NY's AG he put significant pressure on the corrupt Wall Street firms, so they brought him down this year. He now has a personal stake in the issue, and he is a proven capable leader.
Second, isn't it strange that the future of America depends so much on one man? Shouldn't Congress be the body which rules and protects the constitution?
I wish Ratner had specified an Attorney General he would have liked to see, since he's an expert. In the absence of a positive recommendation, citizens like me have nothing concrete to push for. I certainly have no idea who Obama should pick, other than Ramsey Clark again.
Of course Mr Ratner is critical of Mr Obama's positions, he isn't Ron Paul after all!!!! Folks, dial it down several notches, you are true believers, no doubt about it, but you are alienating far too many folks permanently with your scarey levels of zeal and single mindedness. Lower the intensity level and you will be amazed at how much further you get.
how can our rights be "single mindlessness", that was a core principle to which this country was founded. the bush administration has done more in the past 8 years to crush our enlightenment age principles than the whole of 20th century presidents combined. that most americans don't want to take advantage of a democratic majority to repeal corrupt and abusive legislation that pisses on our constitution is beyond me, considering that the supreme court won't even talk about them, Mr Obama better..
both parties are corrupt by nature, but we elect these people, we should control them, they should be our puppets as the commonality of the nation. its sad how the media chose our candidates for us, not even mentioning the five or so other candidates that could have won, but (D) & (R) own the monopoly and have escalated from the original foundation of their parties into power hungry organizations they are today... what Washington warned us of has become a reality. how ashamed would Jefferson be?
Thank you for demonstrating my point. I merely offer some much needed little heeded advice on style and you break out in hives. Did I deride Mr Pauls positions? Did I say he was wrong? Did I tell you to believe in something else?
People have a built in reaction to zealotry and it is flight.
Gods, I swear some of you want to make sure his much needed message never gets the fair hearing it deserves.
although i agree much with Mr. Paul these opinions are my own from which i have formed from experience and influence of people around me. i was criticizing bush's policies long before Mr. Paul came into the spot light, i have had a libertarian political philosophy for as long as i can remember. unfortunately peaceful progressive movements don't work, you can only achieve the goals of liberty through rebellion whether that be through violence or rejection of the system.
Spread the word in a reasoned and well fact checked manner and I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the response. I believe the days of stupid ascendant have passed, no more adoration of dumbassery. I hated Bush and all he represented, but I now see that he was desperately neccessary. He showed how fragile our freedoms really are, how entrenched corruption is and how dangerous idiots are when they are given near Godlike powers. Spread the message, but be gentle and considerate.
Hey, Ratfink, how's that change workin' for you now?
