I grew up with the Fifth Dimension version (which is just the chorus added to the end of Aquarius) and so didn't know how great this song was until I got the Hair soundtrack. The opening verses (left out of the Fifth Dimension and other versions) are pure genius.

I just got back from ITS competition and one of the shows we saw was HAIR and it was absolutely amazing. It was performed by high schoolers and they were breathtakingly fantastic. They got me into this show all over again.

I love the musical and the movie and everything about Hair, but I can't let my parents know that I really love it, because they my mom told me that she didn't like Hair (probably the part where they are actually communicating a message). It's so amazing though!!! I love this song. So eye-opening. i hope they still have this show on by the time I'm 18.

Saw "Hair" on Broadway in '68.

It represented our nation in chaos--

but it was a time to speak out and protest

and that is was "Hair" did. I purchased my ticket way in advance, and when I got

there, someone else was sold my ticket

somewhere else----so they sat me

in the aisle on a chair and several of

the actors came up to me --teasing me---

"but this is the United States of America !!!!

Im in a production of this show right and its SUCH an inspiring show (that is, if you know what's going on). Everyday that I go to rehearsal I just find myself wishing I was in the Broadway show.
