  • so this is the game many of yah michael fans consider his greatest game ?first of weak d no challenge second he lost so whats the point only reason this boston team was so great was cause they were good offensively

  • @oliverrainman You're obviously high! xD

  • @jan279 very

  • jordan in his prime would easily have scored well over 100 points

  • @BullsFanJordan23 ok, it's apparent that you're a jordan homer, and that's cool....however, jordan had plenty of opportunities to score 100 points on scrub teams in his prime like the nets, clippers, heat, bullets, magic, hornets,....

therefore, the answer is NO, he would not have "easily" scored "well over 100 points" in his prime because he did not do it when he had the opportunity before pippen developed into the running partner that jordan needed.

  • what was that song in the very beginning of the video?????

  • @theimmortal8265 Eminem - Nail in the Coffin

  • Jordan scored 63 in 58 minutes.

PPG allowed by Boston in 1985-86: 104.7

    League-wide PPG in 1985-86: 110

    Final score: 135 - 131 (Celtics win)

Kobe scored 81 in 48 minutes.

PPG allowed by Toronto in 2005-06: 104.0

    League-wide PPG in 2005-06: 97.0

    Final Score: 122-104 (Lakers win)

    Kobe's 81 is better

  • @jeffnmj Youre HIGH! Jordan did that in the playoffs at Boston (Who only lost 1 game all season at home) and who was also a much better defense than Toronto. You're comparing two totally different atmospheres there...A playoff game against the best team in the league as opposed to a meaningless regular season game where Toronto admitted they had a game plan to let Kobe be. Kobe got points in garbage time also (Notice the score) Chicago needed Michael playing just to keep it close.

  • @jeffnmj Your a retard the Boston Celtics in 1985-1986 were one of the greatest teams in NBA history. They had great defense and they lost one game all year at home. Who'd Kobe score 81 against the scrub Toronto Raptors.

  • @jeffnmj Ah yes, another fool who thinks Kobe > MJ. Jordan played against the world champion Celtics in the playoffs. Kobe went against a poor Toronto team in the regular season. Jordan played nearly 60 minutes going into the paint time and time again, single-handedly putting 5-6 Celtics in major foul trouble. The defensive rules were also different then, allowing defenders to be much more physical. Kobe's 81-point game was awesome. Jordan's 63-point game was legendary. Gain some perspective.

  • @jeffnmj Even more than that, Jordan also took the 3-pointer to win the game in regulation, but was fouled. Under the pressure of a raucous BSG crowd, Jordan force OT with 2 FTs (before you got 3 for getting fouled behind the 3-pt arc). The ONLY thing about the Kobe game that was greater than that Jordan game was the fact that he scored more points. In every other aspect, Jordan's game was FAR more impressive.

  • @jeffnmj If it was in a playoffs game than it would

  • Jordan scored 63 in 58 minutes.

PPG allowed by Boston in 1985-86: 104.7

    League-wide PPG in 1985-86: 110

    Final score: 135 - 131 (Celtics win)

Kobe scored 81 in 48 minutes.

PPG allowed by Toronto in 2005-06: 104.0

    League-wide PPG in 2005-06: 97.0

    Final Score: 122-104 (Lakers win)

  • what kinda crack u smokin?

  • Doesn't look like they are playing much defense. Looks like they are all old, white, and slow. Plus no zone defenses were allowed. Bet Kobe could do the same to them. Guys are way more athletic now. I think Jordan's performances when he came back from retirement were much more impressive.

  • That was some mad ass defense by jordan from 6:53 to 7:05. Its amazing that he had that kind of energy in overtime after making the Celtics his bitch.

  • I love this match.. THE ARRIVAL!

  • The golden age of basketball

  • i am celtics fan but i just can not dislke this

  • For those who bitch and whine that Bird would've stopped Jordan from winning any titles had the Celtics been younger...

Enjoy this video's hot cup of STFU.

  • i watch this because of NBA 2K11

  • So much better than Kobe's 81 point considering it was against the Celtics.

  • Lebron ain't shit thats why his bitch ass went 2 south beach MJ went 7 years with the Bulls before he won a title and he never abandoned his team fuck Lebron thats why he changed his number his bitch ass shouldn't have the pleasure of wearing 23 ever.

  • @mrchill166 word!

  • lebrons better than jordan and kobe

  • This is history. Cant say how awesome this is. Thanks so very much for posting this. Air Jordan!

  • Bird owned Jordan in head to head games. 23-11. Bird beat Jordan in 16 straight games. Bird NEVER lost to Jordan in the playoffs.

  • Jordan was open!!!! stupid woolridge!!! wtf!!!

  • Woolridge was a chump for taking that last shot. I think he wanted to be the man in Chicago, and resented the young Jordan. After making history and scoring 63 points, Jordan certainly earned the right to take the last shot!-- and you know he would have found a way to make it.

  • Ah, 1986... what a year...

  • 6.15....you talk about ice in your veins.

  • The crazy thing is that the Celtics still won this game. The 1986 Celtics were one of the greatest teams ever.

  • This is the NBA i grew up on.

What folks forget is that he scored 49 in game 1 and he hit two free throws with no time on the clock at the end of regulation to send it into OT.

Tommy heinson was a homer. Bigtime.

  • ceItics won the game regardIess

  • jordan almost beat the celtics himself....................LITERALLY!

  • as always ~ the "I got my Points" and LOST !!!! HAHAHA

  • Was Pat a stoner in the 80's?

  • Jordan>Bird>Magic

  • jordan>kobe>lebron

  • lol pat o'brien. what a moron. really earning that paycheck by not even knowing who's playing.

  • where the f is greg kite...that boy had hops and a great 'stache

  • Greg kite = all time great haha

  • MJ rising up to block McHale after already working extremely hard to score 50....talk about will to win

  • stop mentioning pussy ass kobe with MJ. its disrespectful.

  • @GoingOn9Lives Kobe vs Jordan a fair arguement. Both had a mixture of long term and short term supporting cast, both adapted their style of play to get rings, both stayed instead of going elsewhere and made their teammates better. In terms of athleticism, Jordan may have the edge, however, his plays are accented by lack of physical fitness of the average nba player in the late 80's when he was at his peak in terms of athleticism, compared to the average deffender that Kobe faces.

  • @The3pleThreat

you know nothing please dont compare what is incomperable...

  • @GoingOn9Lives cont...In terms of the Legacy, MJ is untouchable. Kobe can never do as much for the game, not even in 3 or 4 carriers. The student will neva come close to the master. Who is the best basketball player? I think Kobe can still get the edge. Time is on his side. Just LBJ, DWade & CB in his way!

  • doesn't matter how many you score if you lose the game...

  • guys this is how jordan get his records against a very tough team.jordan scored 63 against celtic which was the top team that time kobe scored 81 against a team who has the worst record. kobe is a great player but u cant compare the two. kobe even admitted that he look up to jordan growing up learning the sport.

  • Bird said Jordan was god....ie...the GOAT.

What was Jordan supposed to do??? Pass the ball to brick-happy Woolridge. Oakley was mainly a rebounder, not a scorer.

  • wow

  • i see lebron james doing the same thing

  • I don't even watch the NBA anymore now. The late 80's thru 90's is when the Nba was great. Now it's all about money and entertainment, not about basketball, and a bunch of overrated players. Theres really no talent anymore, real enthusiasts know.

  • Hey a quick shout out to Oakley #34 Greatest Knick of the 1990's besides Patrick Ewing

  • Jordan shot 22-41 which was above his average and he also had 6 assists. Then factor in that Orlando Woolridge (Jordans teammate) shot 9-27 and that the game went into double overtime and I dont think ball hogging was an issue. Also Jordan was fouled on a 3 at the end of regulation but back then he only got 2 FT attempts which he made both of just to get to OT. By todays rules he would have gotten 3 FTs (He shot 19-21 from the line that game)...Theres a good chance they would have won.

  • well said.

  • No need to explain anything to MerkinMuffly. He's a Bird ass-kisser and a Jordan hater. Just delete his comments like spam.

  • @jp3813 Bird owned Jordan in head to head games, and in the playoffs. Do some research.

  • @reno93535 Take your own advice. I bet if Miami wins a championship this season you'll credit everything to Wade, right? lol! Bird was never alone going up against MJ. Have the two switch teams and Bird's Bulls wouldn't win shit against Jordan's Celtics.

  • @cdbleb3 thanks for this memorable game! I live herew in cleveland and we got to deal with Lebum Shaymes.................the quitter! But Mike's memories will live forever! Oh love that move he put on Bird on the right side one on one he put it through his legs like 5 times and dotted bird's eye............Bird is also a GOD though!

  • I would argue that I am the bigget MJ fan.Does this mans videos EVER get old or boring to watch? HE was so much better than anyone back then, and if her were playing nowadays,he would be even that much better, cuz in my opinion, the league was in its prime when HE entered.I think only true ballers know that, cuz this shit nowadays is watered down, true there are AMAZING guys nowadays,AMAZING,but during the 80-90's,it was even better talent, and less teams.Thank god for YOutube for the endless games

  • ultimate fan seen jordan videos more than 4000 times maybe that is to much in 8 years, but I am the most posessed mj fan

  • Nothing like Pat O'Brien showing flashes of later idiocy.

  • Hahaha! I agree

Pat O'Brien: Can one man beat the Lakers?

    Jordan: Were playing the Celtics

    OOPS!

  • The beginning of the CBS Sports decline was when they replaced the legendary Brent Musberger with Pat O'Nasal here!

  • A beast

  • JORDAN IS THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!

  • old ass songs,, jordan dominated

  • Both songs are from 1986...The same year of this game.

  • @mjalex The Beastie Boys and RUN DMC were the SHIT!

  • at 00:51 Michael Jordan corrects the guy conducting the interview who calls the Celtics the Lakers. But Jordan says, "Boston Texans."

  • you are such a loser

  • why am I a loser for that..? Haha I was just pointing it out. Ridiculous.

  • pretty funny

  • I think that the domination of the 86 Celtics is the closest thing I've found to the Bulls in the 90s.

  • 19-21 from the line.

  • they had Jordan on the bench?

  • He broke a bone in his foot and only played 18 games.

  • now that makes sense

  • Here's the thing. Jordan's teammate took 27 shots in this game. Orlando Woolridge. Orlando only made 9. Think about the fact that if Orlando would have made even 3-4 more shots, the Bulls would have won. That's just indicitive of how terrible the team was around Jordan. Nobody took Chicago basketball serious dating back to Norm Van Lier's hay day.

  • they had Jordan on the bench?

  • this was when the celtics ran shit. We bringing that back this year

  • And once again the Celtics Franchise has won another championship, so now Kevin Garnett can say tell all the haters "shut the fuck up"

  • too bad he lost
