I love the walk the dog thing. Walking outside for 30-60 minutes is the best exercise there is, its what humans were designed to do. Throw in a tiny bit of resistance training just to strengthen and tone (20 minutes of either calisthenics or yoga or weights, 2-3 times a week) and you have all the exercise you need.
