@saggyrectum Well, i spray the model black an then dry brush all over with codex grey, next i dry brush using fortress grey but on the top edges and upper half of the model, after that I dry brush the extreme highlights with skull white. When I say dry bursh the brush is actual wet with only a tiny amount of waterd down paint. After thats done I use a few layers of glazing to colour, when its do right the miniature does half the work. he strap was painted scorched brown then bestial brown.
@saggyrectum ...sorry i said so much, its just the whole drybrushing before i paint does effect how the end miniature turns out, often when i get the laze mix correct the highlights and shading is almost automatic and nothing else has to be done.
@saggyrectum yeah, it works great when the glaze mix is spot on, if it dosent work I just continue to paint some mid tones and highlights as normal. Actually, the orc's jacket is just the dry brushing, with some bleached bone on the edges and then scorched brown glazes. The lotr dwarfs in the other video particularly the banner bearer where done the same way.
@Tuscuttar The guy speaking is Terence Mckenna, you can hear the full song here watch?v=opn5gjbLYFc there's loads of Meckenna stuff around too, its good stuff.

@supermassvanity so the highlights are done before the colours glazed on? Interesting. I bet they are dead quick to do.

@supermassvanity Ah cool. Now you need to make a video showing how to such excellent greenstuffing.

I'm always wary when greenstuffing how the finished, painted model will turn out.
This video gives me faith that the finished job can look awesome.
