I agree this movie needed way more fighting, particularly in the martial arts end of it.When Chi Chi's fight scenes are better than Goku's, you know there's a problem.I don't mean that in a gender bias light,but Goku is the main character in an action oriented movie.However,the original was too much.Krillin being impaled & dying over the course of an entire episode,or Vejita being beaten to death,is not only excessive,it's stupid,Vejita coughed up enough blood to fill an oil truck.

The problems are,the movie was too short,not enough story/martial arts,showdown was too short,not enough explained about the characters,ie:Piccolo's escape,what exactly his wish is & why,how did he gain control of Oozaru,if Goku came to earth 18 years ago-as a baby,how did he serve Piccolo 2000 years prior? Even if they don't answer these questions right away,they must at least pose them,so people will WANT to see the sequel.

James Marsters thought it sucked,and rightfully so, because it did,but that doesn't mean it's beyond retrieval.The idea wasn't bad,but it's execution was poor,largely the director's fault imo.

It lacked depth,it was too short,the story was rushed along without explaining many things,not enough sequel bate for the average viewer ect...

It may very well be a doomed mission,but I don't want the original DB(Z/GT),that's it's own legend,best left alone,but I agree,they must shape up this revival.

I hope they make a sequel just to get on those who hated the first one. Good one the Evolution (the ONLY bad was the look of the characters... for example Bulma has blue hair....Ozaru was Bigger).
