  • Two questions, are your dog commands german? Also, I have a 1 year old half American Pitbull Terrier/ half cattle dog, she is extremely well behaved and follows sit, down, and stay commands but for the life of me I cant get her to stop jumping on people, any suggestions? Enjoy all your videos btw!

  • u are just amazing in everything i see u do

  • @annabanna666 , Thanks!

  • This is amazing. Are you walking to him in german with some of those commands? I noticed they definitely weren't english.

  • @zhaneranger Yes, the Commands are German. With nice Accent :o)

  • i want an opinion....should i get my jack russel nudered

  • @koder299 this is just my personal opinion. please please never do that to any dog it changes there personality and u will never get them back too 100% them. its sad and wrong.and as a male its just soooooooo wrong wrong wrong . imagine it

  • i want an opinion....should i get my jack russel nudere

  • nice video! beautiful dog!

  • did anyone else notice the dog disapear at :30 ?

  • How did you get ace to give you such intense focus. I have a yr old GSD that i've been working on holding treats by my face and holding for eye contact, but its almost as if the prey drive isnt there, isnt interested enough. please advise.

  • @bosleybeebop , check out my number on my site and give me a call. I would be happy to explain the technique.

  • @bosleybeebop Adam great videos love to see guys working their dogs schutzhund or otherwise...In response to bosleybeebop not to say you dont have a great dog but I can tell from Ace's coloration especially that he probably is from german working bloodlines making his prey drive and willingness to work much higher then your normal pet GSD. Your best bet would be to seek professional help and maybe look into your GSD's pedigree see if he is from a working bloodline or not...Great looking dog adam

  • Is Ace trained in German?

  • I've got 2 Belgian Malinois' and a Dutch Shepherd; all trained for narcotics detection, and just for fun, we trained them for tracking (human and lost pet) also.

You need not worry about using a 'release' word such as "OK". Just make sure you are very animated when releasing the dog during training (with "OK") and that should prevent unwanted breaks. Also, be sure to train in public with distractions once you start making progress in your yard.

    Good job with the video.

  • Re-post. I was asking about how to get my dog to start going into his new doghouse.

  • Try feeding him in the dog house, it may be a pain depending on it's located. He will get hungry enough that he will go in, but don't force him in it. That will only cause anxiety and fear surrounding the dog house. One thing we did with Ace is I built his dog house in the living room and kept it there for about a week. He got use to seeing it and I feed him in the house a few times. Dogs are den animals so if it cold enough or raining hard enough he will seek shelter. Let me know how it goes.

  • I use the dogtra training collar as well. great product. I've pretty much never had to use anything more than the pager function. they say not to use "ok" as the release command b/c it is such common verbiage but I use it too. good vid.

  • Yeah I learned the hard way about my release command. My 3 year old is always releasing him with "OK", Lol. It's alright, he has a few other action commands, he usually just wanting to hear for a loud vocalization from me. lol! Thanks and take care,

    - Adam

  • Good Job Adam. I will forward this to my buddy. Hopefully he will learn something from you. Keep up the good work. What's next??LOL. BS/WU6

  • hey! awesome video! keep up the good work. :)

  • Nice video

I probably wouldn't bring my dog hiking or camping but these techniques can be used anywhere.

    Thanks

  • Beautiful dog adam great training vid please keep'm coming

  • Thanks, I will.

  • 5/5 gr8 stuff

  • My Dogtra works great, he has had it for years. Max has very simular training, although I use more spanish than german.

  • I bet Max gets a lot more freedom because he know what to do. Have you every done any long over night hikes with him. Ace is still young so I am still bringing a 30' leash just in case for when we sleep, but he is really good not to get very far from me.

  • the problem was he was too smart when I started getting upto 20' leads he still knew he was on a leash. He goes with me on most hikes unless I know I have to do some steep boulder and such. he was with me on my "night hike vid"

  • Did i hear u give him a german comands?

  • yeah, the breeder I bought him from is a traditional schutzhund trainer. We kept the German. Thanks,

    - Adam

  • cool dog
