Too many gestures and jerks ! Her singing here is rather free-style and Wavy ! Too capricious ! Even her pronouncing the words... That is not the role's characterisation. The big Legato Puccini line is NOT there. She can do better...hopefully she is not getting mannerisms...-5

I actually think the pronouncing words make the characterisation better, more meaninful. I think she plays Mimi in a very personalised way, and that isn't necessarily bad, is it? This is not my favourite version of Angela's Mimi, but still!

Exquisite singing and a really graceful acting. Some may say she gestures too much, but I am used to it and think it's no problem at all, just a personal characteristic. Her way with the character of Mimì is very natural and womanly, she doesn't turn her into a saint, but a real woman with feelings and passions. And her singing remains absolutely wonderful, albeit not as much nuanced as in some other previous performances.
