Some bands are just good writers and once they turn 30 u realize that they just are not very good performers. RHCP 40s lost old guitarist and still can make you cry jump and just plain old bop to the beat whether your watching them live on TV or at the show in the nosebleeds. Fans are not obligated to watch the lead is obligated to "oblige" the audience, get it right...get it?

@bumblefritz its up to the lead to MAKE you dance. They are all Incubus heads singing along but Boyd is so corny these days, or maybe he always has been hmm(a thought from an incubus-head). If the performance was better peeps wouldn't mention the crowd Incubus is getting worse and worse

@PrivateLJenkins his definition fo Trolling is watching a single concert of one of my (formerly)top10 favorite bands of all time. Instead of intelligently or even passionately explaining why this performance was weak he poorly attempted to use ad hominiems to bash me.*silly rabbit* This performance was not "laid back" it was just contrived, boring, and dependent on: past success and popularity. The lead's respnsibilty is 2 enjoy his own music enuff to inspire others, at the very least; 2 dance.

I can't seem to find where in the All Mighty Rule Book of Music it says you must inspire your audience with stage presence of some kind. If you are going to watch them dance instead of listen, so be it. That in no way equals a weak performance
@PrivateLJenkins this is meant to be a low-key practice type gig too, they have so much stage presence, coming from someone who's seen them, he's not even bashing the right videos
@EdEmKay Yeah definitely. Tearing up such a small area would do no good, and it's nice to just sit back and listen at a place like this. But this isn't really even an album to go all out to. Part of it is because they are getting older, but also this album is softer. I'll be seeing them in Las Vegas in May, so if they play some older stuff that is more edgy and rough, maybe THEN I can judge their showmanship and find truth in that guys words. Even then, they are still amazing to me.
@PrivateLJenkins they will, i saw them in november, they opened with pardon me, and encored with a certain shade of green followed by tomorrows food. if it wasnt for the fact the audience was mostly filled with hipsters (it was in a nicer part of london, where all the trendy people live) then it would have been mental.
What a performance! Anna Molly is one of my favorites. It's funny when Brandon covered his face with his shirt....even his armpit is sexy! awww!!! this band is simply.... genius, talented musicians! More power!
