  • URGH! That dissonance between the F in the 2nd Tenor and the F# in the Soprano right before it resolves...yummy.

  • Thanks for posting this material with the score, you are doing a great job and i really enjoyed the upload!

  • I have to agree, it is to bad that I can't have them loud enough to get the full effect of their voices. They are amazing. :-)

  • so pure

  • this performance is easily on par with anonymous 4. so, so lovely.

  • Holy crap, that soprano is piercing.

  • i´ts a third minor up

  • There are simply no words powerful enough to describe gorgeousness of the final climax and resolution. Yummy delicious beautiful so much beyond words. Thank-you God for Tallis, and thank-you Tallis Scholars for this beautiful performance.

  • Tee hee. I was just about to whinge about the key, then i read the description...

  • @ChaosDynamics it's called a false relation the clash :D

  • @Raichu234 And I love it. SS Wesley did the same thing in two voices (Tenor 2 and Alto) in "If thou wilt keep him" and got lamblasted for it after it's composition in the mid-1800's, but it's unique and allows the voices to reach naturally in their respective lines to the resolution in the cadence. They literally clash to resolve.

  • look it's just extraordinary!

  • this is a whole step higher than the sheet music

  • @singndance4evr It's more like a third up.

  • @ChaosDynamics si chiama FALSA RELAZIONE. è BELLISSIMA

  • o go to a high school of the performing arts and we are singing this and its soo pretty!

  • Once you have heard The Tallis Scholars, you don't want to hear others do it

  • The main characters in my book form a choir and they sounds exactly like this. Amazing! x

  • tis not in the orginal key of G minor lol. Never mind, still sounds nice

  • Sung this for an introit last sunday. Cried, absolutely gorgeous :D

The False Relation at the end is just the icing on the cake :)

  • I love this piece. We also sang this at Candlemas on Sunday. A beautiful piece of music which is awesome to sing.

  • this score is like a m3 off lol...

  • The score is in the video does not match the actual music being sung....
