Windows 7 on old toshiba laptop

hey i have this laptop but i cant get the usb ports to work on windows 7, how did u get them to work. btw it works great running windows 7 apart from that

@tiny8sle The USB ports worked straight away without any drivers, maybe the USB ports on you laptop may be dead, or windows could be corrupt.

This "old" laptop is more better that most new netbooks because it's have a normal Celeron CPU, which is bettrer than Intel Atom.

I'm trying to install a copy of Windows7 onto this laptop. I've changed the bios to boot from disc but I'm getting no joy! I've burnt the windows7 image onto a DVD and it should say 'press any key to boot from disc' when I turn the power on, but I get nothing. Burn error?

@timmo1986 IT could be a burn error, download IMGBURN, then you know that it will set it to bootable

ie9 its fast and better then firefox.

download and install ie9 and you see the differens!

@ThePatrykfilm9000 I do not like internet explorer, as it is very buggy and often crashes, IE9 is no different, I'll go with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox anyday

@ThePatrykfilm9000 Yes I have tried IE9, I have it on my Toshiba Laptop that runs Vista, and IE9 and all the internet explorers suck

@ThePatrykfilm9000 go in ie9 to options, tablet advanced> Software rendering instead of GPU rendering enable it and try again to see any differens. if it helps.

768 mb ram

and it runs fine, it doesnt run aero, but im not complaining(:

@Lachlant1984 Yes, windows vista ran very well on this machine, but it has xp back on it now
