  • OMG>Republicans are LIARS! THIS guy is like the rest-he speaks like he's selling you something!WHY DON"T they listen to the people? BECAUSE>they are controlled by the RICH and the Corporations! GET RID of them all!!!

  • Hello?

  • To sandanista138 - one more thing - give me all your money, food and clothing - I need it more than you do!

  • Well bunnyluv...unfortunately for you we live in a Democratic country,, with Democratic principals...and since we will probably decide to vote on fixing health care, passing the Employee free Choice act, and of course electing our President to get us out of Iraq, off of foreign oil, then maybe it's you that should move to a Dictatorship since you miss George W. so much, try Uganda, China, R O Congo, Nicaragua....you'll find they don't count votes in those countries as well.

  • You don't have a clue what the hell you're talking about .. You must have been absent the day your American History teacher discussed the Constitution. If that's not the case, then you must be really stupid! I feel so sorry for you.

  • Oh you mean California Teaching Standard 12.1, Principles of American Democracy?? No, I actually cover it with my seniors every September....hmmm no thanks,,feel sorry for yourself,,let me prescribe you a little Noam Chomsky to help you get our head out of your Neocon ass...better yet,,let's start slow...how about your review the promises and principles of Alexis de Tocqueville and Thomas Jefferson...that is if they aren't to "Communnist" for you!

  • Yeah, a gradual adjustment to socialism is what Obama wants! God help us!

  • Hmmmm....free healthcare, a healthy middle class, more Democracy, better infrastructure, free education, better educated Americans, more jobs, better paying jobs.....OMG that's sounds horrible..God save us from prosperity!!Hahahahhahahaaha.

  • There is no such thing as a free education .. someone has to pay for it .. or have you forgotten about property taxes goes towards schools and education. Obama's Omnibus bill will not lead us to more jobs because the small businesses will end up laying off people - you must not understand that small businesses are the ones who make $100,000 plus .. they are not the corporations with the CEOs who have begged our people for more money. There will be no prosperity!! Do your homework!

  • Absolutely- We the People pay for it with our taxes- the equation is simple, we reinstate the progressive income tax created by FDR, slash spending on defense, reinstate our tariffs that have existed up until Reagan, rebuild the middle class through Public Education free of Private Enterprise creating a far more Democratic, stronger nation. Oh the same goes for Health Care, we currently don't have anysort of preventative measures which is why so many Americans don't know how to eat healthy.

  • We don't need the progressive income tax; that's socialism. President Reagan had the best tax cuts for small businesses, and he was not for socialized medicine. And why do you believe we need the government to tell us how to eat? That's also taking personal choices away from the people. However, I do believe that we need public health education, but if people aren't going to listen, don't you think that is their right to make their own choices? I'm for free enterprise!

  • Fallowing Reagan's taxcuts and specifically Reaganomics, we have seen an increasing shrinking of our middle class, increased poverty, and the dismantling of social services, the fact is we live in a Democratic country, and the Government= Us the People, what do you have against Us? I'm for business as well, but fully understand that Business is here to serve Us, the Government, not the otherway around, everybody needs to pay for our commons at the rate they are used the most, hence progressive

  • Okay, if you think that you deserve handouts- move to one of the following countries:

Canada, Sweden, or the Netherlands. I'm sure they'd be delighted to give you plenty of what you think you deserve - Socialism!

  • hmmmmm handouts? Ok let's stop the handouts...let's start with the defense budget, being thats were the majority of our Taxes go to, then to Corporate Welfare, then to Private Contractors for the following industries: Defense, War, Security, then the handouts to the rich, oh yes, because theyre not paying their share of taxes for the goods they use from us: Police, Roads, Public Education, Government Regulation, they just use them for free, or like you say,, a hand out. Point well taken!!

  • Obama's big solution seems to be a windfall profits tax. Didn't Carter already try this? Wasn't it a massive failure? The oil companies do not set prices. OPEC does. The govt. makes twice as much on each barrel through taxes and on the little that the oil companies do get as profit, they get taxed on that. The Dems promote the myth of the evil oil barons, while sweeping any mention of their greed under the rug. Why are we starving ourselves and relying on our worst enemies for succor?

  • It is a travesty that Dems think that appeasing Greenpeace and the Sierra Club is more important than reducing the oil crisis. We are perhaps the only nation that has large untapped reserves of oil, yet refuses to tap it because of the tree huggers. There are ways to drill without destroying the environment. But those damn hippies are opposed to drilling, period. I'm sorry, but people come first. And taxing the oil companies is not a viable solution. We need to increase supply.

  • There's two ways here, not just one. Don't be fooled. You can either try to increase supply OR reduce demand if lower gas prices are desired. Let see how this goes, the Republicans have repeatedly refused to allow increased MPG standards here at home even though as we all know reduced demand leads to lower prices. To top it off, lest we have forgotten something even more important than fuel prices, this would reduce carbon emissions and help slow global warming.

  • To get higher mpg you have to make lighter cars, show me some light trucks that haul tools and material??? We are sitting on huge energy deposits we just can't touch them we can't build refineries and nuke it out. Give me an fn break drill here build refineries here liquefy coal, take oil from shale and then while we use these recourses we have a buffer of more time to implement new resources. I'm putting solar panels on my new house not because of global warming but to get off the grid.

  • Tell me how many trucks are really hauling tools and material? I grew up on a farm and we have trucks that haul stuff all of the time, but most people who own these nowadays use them to move groceries. How many really use Hummers for anything except for transportation. They weigh three tons and make well under 10mpg. The government actually gave tax breaks to people for buying SUVs over three tons. In the past, when energy is cheap, alternative sources of energy are not given much attention.

  • i would say far over 60% of trucks are used to haul stuff , yeah some people bought more car then they need but it dosnt excuse the far left eco nuts that have for the past 3 decades have halted our own production of our own fuels. we cant use the shale we cant drill in alaska we cant drill off our coast we cant build refinarys we cant build nuke reactors we cant we cant we cant even wind power is threatend because birds fly into some blades.

  • what global warming its been cooler these past 2 years and are looking at colder tempts for the next 10 years due to ocean currents shifting. in the 1970 we were going back into an ice age in the 90's it was global warming 20010 what will it be ????

  • Mojack, you may believe what every pseudoscience that you need to justify your abuse to the environment. It's funny, you are typing on a computer that scientist and engineers have developed using solid scientific practices. That same science is what is used for instance to determine that global warming is happening, that the ice cap is melting and that CO2 levels are much higher than thousands of years. Bush et al has done a great job getting people to believe that scientists can't be trusted.

  • are these the same scientist that said we were going into an ice age in the 70's . which ice cap is melting ??? ifs that due to man or is that cylical , you know ift was much warmer before the little ice age ,then it is today . I didnt know the vikings had hummers or maybe your talking about the ice caps on mars that are melting . you think it might have far more to do with the sun then man . and just what is the atmospheric co2??? 300ppm 350ppm 400ppm??

  • The atmospheric co2 levels are around 380ppm and the arctic ice cap is melting. You may believe that's simply cylical and I would disagree. I'm not going to try to convince you. Our civilization could not survive in the pre-ice age climate, especially if we only have short amount of time to adjust to it. Think Katrina was bad? I know you want to believe that nothing that humans do on earth could possibly effect something so huge as the climate, I think that we do have at least a small effect.

  • This is the point that frustrates me. Do people actually believe that we can adjust our use overnight? I'm all in favor of using less and supplying our own energy. One of the problems with that is the length of time required for the switch. And to act like we can flip a switch and tomorrow have less is completely naive. We need something to tide us over until that happens. I'm not for drilling without changing our habits. I'm also not for changing our habits without drilling. They go together.

  • Adjusting is hard, but like everything else, people need to figure out how to adjust. If your paycheck is cut in half, do you continue spending money the way you did before the cut? Most people will cut back fairly quickly. This is no different. More drilling will most likely happen, but it won't produce more production for a few years. We have to cut back whether we like it or not.

  • If we do not drill now, then when? Telling everyone to suck it up is not a good answer when it is common knowledge that we have of untapped reserves in this country. We can be independent of foreign oil, but we need to ignore th tree-huggers and tap our own supply. And in doing so, not only can we make ourselves more independent, it will also put a dent in the nations who support terrorism, like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

  • Are you aware of the difrence between enviormental science and electronic engineering/computer programing? because judging by your comment either you dont and assume that generic scientists in white coats are working on your new windows operating system and genetic engineering side by side in the same lab, or you dont know the diffrence between building a machine and writing down the temperature each day.

  • Neither the Democrats or the republicans are addressing the cause of high gas prices. The value of the dollar is hurt every time the federal reserve counterfeits money by printing it. Because the dollar is not tied to anything of real value, the more of it they print, the less it's worth. The value of oil compared to gold is about the same it has been for many years. Are the 2 parties lying to us, or are they so naive that they cannot see what our failed monetary system is failing?

  • the link you provided didn't work, please fix this problem if possible. y=gehaf7 doesn't work. Also, if you have the CNBC interview could you post that also. Thanks.

  • He had to keep repeating the position of Barack Hussein, because like me, he cannot believe the Democratic candidate is so deeply naive, and yet has this vast following.

So, he's making certain it sinks in to the minds of the brainwashed!
