  • I've consulted several local speech therapists unfortunately nothing worked for me. If someone know a personal method or idea that worked I'd would like to know.

  • @flaviotest dude I stutter too but I've controlled it to a very mild stage. Here are few of my recommendations.

    1) try speaking on the mirror (FOCUS ON YOUR LIP MOVEMENT ON THE MIRROR). It'll take time but using a phone won't be a problem now.

    2) slow down your speech & take a deep breath before speaking. If it doesn't work you gotta slow down even more.

3)Wiki this, diaphragmatic breathing. Follow the instructions, trust me, it helps.

Btw you gotta put real effort on all these, good luck !

  • hey ppl can u help i stammer and i didnt find a cure for this problem so plz if u can help of a book or anything just comment right here...............and thank u

  • I have one of these, and it really does help my stammer.... It plays my voice back to me at a higher pitch and with a delay, giving me the impression that i am talking in unison with someone else.... It really does improve my stammer... I am only 14 years old btw ;D

  • They have an app for iphone/ipod touch that works the same way as this thing does look it up on the app store "DAF assistant"

    It has a trial too.

  • ummm ok ...i been seeing alot of these devices on the news and stuff but i once seen it for sale....dont talk about it if ur not gonna give it to any1...ur giving every1 false hope.

i been stuttering all my life and wen som1 messes with me i use violence. hehe...might not be the best solution but it works for me.

  • SHE CUTTE =)

  • Stuttering is a involuntary and unconscious problem involving speaking. It gets worse when stressed but stress it not the cause. I stutter a little bit even if not stressed or tired.

  • involuntary? really now?

  • Yes, There is no cure for this problem. It could be seem a little funny, but it is not a joke to be a stutter.

  • God.. what are you saying man? You never heard about hausdorfer therapy? Its the anwser to all stutter problems. I did it and look at me now.. Get a copy of oscar hausdorfers book and search for a therapie.

  • @flaviotest You are right that it is not a joke to be a stutter...I used to be one! I do not agree with you that "here is no cure for this problem". Stuttering can be eliminated completely. I did it when I was 32. The worst thing is that you demotivate other people to search for a possible stuttering cure . Check out my method!

  • Stammering & stuttering affect 1% of our population and many other of us suffer when we are STRESSED. I help my patients with the HeartMath technique and find it highly efficacious.

  • I think it's important to remember electronic devices are just one of many tools that PWS can use, a holistic approach to Stuttering Treatment is always a good policy.
