its in F double sharp says on sheet music. because they slowed it down a tiny bit before jim sang to it which made it morph a bit from G major into F##

@sportsmediaamerica No you're wrong - it's in the right key, if you listen to the original it's not quite in either key , the recording is slighly detuned - don't believe me? check out the song on a live recording. Even in the film, they tell you the chords !

@oysterlovers Correct. Am to F#m. Even from the film, Robbie says, 'Am to F#m'. On the original, you are correct, they "de-tune" it a bit. This is a correct video.

@oysterlovers You make a good point. From what I can hear though, it's closer to Gb than to G. I only just decided to have a crack at this song today, and before I put the song on I had a little improv of how I thought the song might go, played it in G because it sounded to be in G in my head, plus reason stands that the concepts are easier in G, got a shock when I tried to play to the song and every shit was out of tune.. I think I'll be playing it in Gb though. Just cos, really. Feels fun :)

I'm gonna make a pitch-shifted copy of it in proper Gb so it doesn't sound so off-kilter when I play to it. Fucked me up for a good half hour today trying to work out what the fuck what wrong with my ears about Gb :P

Beatles were cunts for that as well, releasing songs just of concert pitch so I cant play along in true key. Shits me.
