I don't believe the OVAs are non-canon, just because people prefer the lighthearted anime over them. If we go so far as to say the writer cannot properly finish their own series, you have to remember that the writing is partly responsible for the way you responded to the comedic series in the first place. Saying you'll accept one half and not the other just because the events that transpired, is like saying you'll accept the orgasm but ignore the rape that initiated the climax in the 1st place.

Personally i believe that it's the older animes tend to have better music composition compared to some newer ones especially when it comes to the music in Rurouni Kenshin
this anime bested all other anime so far! The life of Kenshin and the plot were both inspirational and amazing! I recommend this to everyone, both young and not so old.

Even the author said that Kenshin's death portrayed here was beautifully done (I'm home) but that doesn't meant they should've portrayed it full of too much drama. Also Kenshin is about life and repentance, not being dead and making it all sad. Also he didn't make the OVA, some other guys did. So no need to worry about ken's death. :D
@nintendonut100 Well he created the character and he made kenshin suffer. so of course he went through so much crap. :D But the thing is, being a happy ending doesn't mean you have to be melodramatic. His early life was full of sadness and his death, though peacefull in appearance, created a sense of sadness. That is not how one should die creating others fall in sadness. Watsuki didn't help in making the ova. so this is non canon.

Personally i believe that it's the older animes tend to have better music composition compared to some newer ones especially when it comes to the music in Rurouni Kenshin

this anime bested all other anime so far! The life of Kenshin and the plot were both inspirational and amazing! I recommend this to everyone, both young and not so old.

I've downloaded and uploaded this soundtrack on megaupload, I love the entire manga collection [ except the last 2 episodes from the OVA, Kenshin dies and for that , I hate the anime episodes, I like just the 4 OVAs because they are telling about Kenshin's life as a Battosai ].

@TheFourtySeven47 The OVA are noncanon where kenshin dies. Even the author said that Kenshin's death portrayed here was beautifully done (I'm home) but that doesn't meant they should've portrayed it full of too much drama. Also Kenshin is about life and repentance, not being dead and making it all sad. Also he didn't make the OVA, some other guys did. So no need to worry about ken's death. :D

@nintendonut100 Well he created the character and he made kenshin suffer. so of course he went through so much crap. :D But the thing is, being a happy ending doesn't mean you have to be melodramatic. His early life was full of sadness and his death, though peacefull in appearance, created a sense of sadness. That is not how one should die creating others fall in sadness. Watsuki didn't help in making the ova. so this is non canon.

Perhaps what I was trying to say could've been said with + reinforcement. Yeah, he is correct and I know that quote.
