The vocaloid doesn't expect English input so "ra" wouldn't sound the same as you'd expect it to in English pronounciation. As far as I know, it's not possible to input English into a vocaloid, so when you hear Hatsune Miku speaking English, she's reading from Romanji script (I'm not sure if this is the only method of doing it but, it's the only method I know of).

@BokoNOM I understand what you're saying, but what i was asking was: because vocaloids are wired for japanese, how you were able to get a vocaloid to sing "la" when, if someone told a vocaloid to say "la" it would come out sounding like "ra." ...sorry for the confusion and i really do love this song its definitely one of my new favorite vocaloid songs! @aleahandamanda I guess it really depends how the Japanese "ra" sounds like to you, because it sounds pretty similar to the English "la" to begin with. So inputting "ra" as a note, will produce a vocal sound very similar to the English "la". To make it sound even more like "la", you could add a diaganol slope to the dynamics (Select the DYN tab then cut away the first section of the note in the graph window using the line tool so you lose the "r" sounding of "rla").
