well i just seen them live on oct 3rd and gavin was all over the place he was crowd surfing running from the bottom of the club to the top singing to people and to the kids in wheel chairs. he was mad crazy so he still gots alot left in the tank
Bush, Red hot chili peppers and Foo fighters are the world top 3 bands right now. No question about it, none of these new bands can hold a candle to those 3
why dont you people quit bitching and be happy that a quality band has reformed and has givin us hope for the future of rock music. SO SHUT UP AND ROCK !
Kids these days? Hey I'm from Gen Y but I agree with all of you :). I was 4 in 1992,lol. so I never thought I'd get to see Bush so when I did I went nuts singing the lyrics, jumping, getting into it. I had front row yet someone next to me went on FB mobile during the show? wtf. However, Gavin ran through the crowd to get everyone going which was great. I love reading the feedback for this song, finally people on my wavelength. Although I'm part of this gen y I'm so out of place usually. <3 90s
there is definitely extra vocal tracks going, probably the entire recording over the live instruments. raw music ain't allowed anymore thanks to autotune.
@TheLayneMeyer Clearly you're just a moron hypnotized by the Pop scene... This was preformed live, the music was live, the vocals were live, everything Rock is live with no computer crap... If you actually listened to it you could see that. Listen to the guitar and you'll hear a missed note seldom, the drums playing the sound you hear, or Gavin's voice fadded when he backed away from the mic. You're too busy being a dipshit to understand that though. Piss off and go listen to shitty music kid.
@TheSkittles1001 Word. If you re-read what I wrote, I only said there is an extra vocal track definitely. That is absolute. It's possible the whole track is backing them while they are playing live. The vocal is certain. And kid, thanks, I'm flattered but I was a kid in high school when this band made their debut record.
@TheLayneMeyer Bush preformed this live, guitar, bass, drums, mic, and amps... that's it. No computers or recordings. Get that through your thick head and shut the hell up dumbass.
@Paul3144 Yeah, like I said the vocal tracks are definitely playing along...possibly the music track in the chorus too. Rock n Roll used to be about imperfections but that's looked at as fail today. It's too bad.
@tk4227 thats cause kids these days cant wrap their little heads around true music. they're so used to lil wayne and lady gaga that when they hear REAL music their minds are truely blown
how instead of bitching about "kids" these days, ingore them and enjoy the damn music. Or go to a concert and do it dont just talk about it not all "kids" just sit there and record the shows
Annoying Stupid Kids With Cameras: "I don't wanna jump around and have fun, I just wanna record Bush's performance and put it on Youtube because that's what's cool nowadays."
@lookitscasey and not all kids just sit there and record them..actually if anything everytime i go to a concert its the kids crowd surfing and jumping everywhere while the adults sit there and bitch at the kids cause they get bumped into while trying to record
this is a great tune. describes everything a friend is going through right now. great songwriting, F^$^$^%^&%& rocks!!! if you don't agree read the lyrics; if you don't get chills I don't think your human.......
I think the people are just watching it like a normal audience. I dont think they need to go crazy. It's a new song and they are listening. OMHO they are probably amazed. I know when I saw MUSE and Radiohead live I didn't move at all or close my mouth. This song rules. It's nice to hear guitars sound like this again.
Dunno why the hate, Sure it's their first album in like 10 years, They're gonna change whether you want them too or not, I like alot of the songs on the album. and i love all of their older stuff aswell.
@spicegirlsfan472 gavin is cute! he looks good. I know he is older, but he looks damn good for his age. so what about his hair line! he and gwen are a hot couple! don't be a hater ;)
LA is audiences are just tooooo cool for their on good.... That's why bush fell apart at the end of the song... Plus I'm not sure the songs that much of a hit either... Oh well still going to see them live I love all the bands on the bill.
Awesome song! Excited to see them back together! As for whoever mentioned Nirvana... Nirvana was a great band, but honestly... They are extremely overrated compared to the other bands that came out of that time period.
this might be there best album since Sixteen Stone... along the way they had good albums, but this might have been worth the wait to get their sound together... thank god they didn't change the way they play.
So now at a concert you have to stand still so the dickheads around you don't drop their precious $300 cameras/phones? Fuck them. I'd make it a point to jump around and bump into everyone (like concerts should be...fun and lively)
Gavin still has the voice and still can sing. Gavin fuckin rocks!! Bush has been making music since the 90's and I am glad that bands from my generation growing up are still around today. I don't know why, but they sound much better live on this song than the audio.
@DLRisVH Dude, How can you say they are a shit band?? They are not trying to be like Nirvana and Gavin has his own style of voice. I don't know what generation you are from, but Bush has dominated the rock charts since the 90's. They might not sound more energetic like they use to cause they are aging now. These guys gotta be like in their 40's now and when guys reach their 40's their voice changes. The older we get we change. The reason these guys are still rockin its for the luv for the fans.
i saw bush in concert on march 11th 2002 at the scranton cutural center in pa . it was my very first concert i was a senior in highschool and default opened up for them . i didnt care much for default . but Bush put on an amazing show ,i rememeber that concert like it was yesterday . no other concert ive been to since even compared to that bush concert , now that there back together i cant wait to to see them again .there an amazing band , and gavin is a talented writer and singer .
so many haters, bush makes good music. theyll never top razorblade suitcase, but after all these years not bad. and stop crying about nirvana, without them there prob wouldnt be grunge or alternative. its like saying beetles were better, of course they were, they influenced everyone.
@macbassplayer You' re right Im tired of look for good quality live performance, and just find " UHHHHH I WAS THERE, HEY ME TOO AWSOME",,,just record do not post.
@macbassplayer I agree. People spend so much time recording a concert, in order to relive the moment that they didn't even live in the first place because they were recording it instead of watching it.
@macbassplayer as opposed to casset recorders at an old metallica show in the 80s? With out wich I probably would of never heard how metallica live in the 80s.
Unless those guys with cameras walked up to you and beat you with them before you could get into the show, mind your own bussiness.
@macbassplayer they also preserve the moment, I know when I saw rammstein perform live in may of this year in LA I recorded the whole show, well worth it especially when they hadn't toured in the US for over 10 years. It doesn't destroy the music it saves it for another time to be enjoyed.
The new guitarist is Chris Traynor who played in bands like orange 9mm and Helmet as well as with Gavin in institute. So eff all you Chris Traynor haters Helmet was a million times better and more influential than bush ever was or well be. This is from some one who likes Bush but then again they are no Nirvana!!

It's proven that it it's all mental to what happens when you're high, it's possible to have no change.
@spng157 I know right?!?! I'm soooo excited for the new album! It was supposed to be late 2010 and it was going to be call Everything Always Now. Then it got pushed to early 2011. Then there were issues with their label so they did it on Gavin's indie label and added different songs and the new album is going to be called The Sea of Memories and will be out 9/13/11!!!
a few years ago a couple went out to dinner. later that night the babysitter called and asked if she could put a sheet over the clown statue in the kids bedroom. the father said "get the kids out of the house and I'll call the police. we don't own a clown statue." it turned out that the clown was a murderer escaped from jail. if you don't repost this message on 10 videos the clown will be in your bedroom tonight at 3am with a chainsaw sorrry I did this I was scare

Gavin looks old and tired, I love Bush but this song sound old and boring, hope the record sound better, and the new members, they look like not having fucking idea of what`s going on.
@kashiark What horrible last album?.. Golden State was badass.. 'People That We Love', 'Hurricane', 'Inflatable', 'Solutions', 'Superman', 'Float'.. Have you listened to it lately?.. It wasnt as successful because of 9/11 but its definately not horrible.
I have to agree with you,Golden State was a great album and every album before that was awesome as well.Let's hope The Sea Of Memories is just like the Bush of the 90's....So far Afterlife and The Sound Of Winter are good songs in my book.Glad Bush is back!
I don't love this song, but it's not all bad. Will have to listen to the whole album. I'm just glad Gavin is doing Bush music again and he looks quite happy. Also, I might get to see them live after all these years thinking i never got to see them!! =DDDDDDD
It's actually not that bad of a song, still has a little bit of vintage Bush sound to it like Razorblade Suitcase or The Science of Things but there's nothing like the original lineup. Golden State was one of the most underrated cds of the 2000s because it's release was overshadowed by 9/11 unfortunately.
@TheDunkaccino When they played here in Houston for Buzzfest and played the intro riff for Everything Zen, people went fuggin' crazy and didn't stop until after their set. Standing ovation for almost 3 minutes I counted. At least here in Houston, people still remember and love Bush.
(1) It wasn't a crime in the 90's to crowd surf and mosh and go crazy at a concert. It is damn near a crime now.
(2) Bush concerts gave off so much more energy in the 90's. Gavin would run all over the stage and get out into the crowd. Then again, Gavin isn't 27 years old like he was on the 16 Stone tour.
(3) Kids are fucking lame these days. They don't know how to have fun at concerts.
@cowmanman with all due respect not really its jimmy kimmel the seats are first come first serve so its mostly loosers who just want to be on tv not bush fans
So glad Bush is back. Bout time we get some good music coming back. Bush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Staind, Jane's Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins all have new albums coming out in the next few months.
@machineheadg2r I have to agree with this. It's not the same without the original lead guitarist and bassist. Bush is one of my favorite bands alltime though.
I was there last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY FUCKIN ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!! They still got it. They performed a bunch of songs, but bummed that they didnt play Glycerine. oh well. It was a free show so yeah.
I've loved bush through it all, liking this too. Kinda think it would sound better without the lead guitar constantly going, but still a great song! Long live Bush! The Science of Things is probably one of my favorite all time albums
Outstanding!!!

amazing song, but what about Afterlife ? Bush decided to forget their debut smash-hit ? well, I will hate them for it, okey.

a lot better than hearing crap stuff like bieber, gomez, beyonce and overrated junk which is out on the radiowaves nowadays

It's not Sixteen Stone, but it's a lot better than that fucking horrible last album they put out.
kashiark 7 months ago
@kashiark What horrible last album?.. Golden State was badass.. 'People That We Love', 'Hurricane', 'Inflatable', 'Solutions', 'Superman', 'Float'.. Have you listened to it lately?.. It wasnt as successful because of 9/11 but its definately not horrible.
skinhitter27 7 months ago
@skinhitter27
I have to agree with you,Golden State was a great album and every album before that was awesome as well.Let's hope The Sea Of Memories is just like the Bush of the 90's....So far Afterlife and The Sound Of Winter are good songs in my book.Glad Bush is back!

is Rossdale the only original member? =/
luisaran99 7 months ago
I don't love this song, but it's not all bad. Will have to listen to the whole album. I'm just glad Gavin is doing Bush music again and he looks quite happy. Also, I might get to see them live after all these years thinking i never got to see them!! =DDDDDDD
Ahania 7 months ago
It's actually not that bad of a song, still has a little bit of vintage Bush sound to it like Razorblade Suitcase or The Science of Things but there's nothing like the original lineup. Golden State was one of the most underrated cds of the 2000s because it's release was overshadowed by 9/11 unfortunately.

These guys are really good

In the 90s, ppl were going nuts at Bush concerts. Now, they just stand there with their digital cameras and record. Whats the fun in that?
Fucking depressing. ZERO crowd energy
TheDunkaccino 7 months ago 28
@TheDunkaccino When they played here in Houston for Buzzfest and played the intro riff for Everything Zen, people went fuggin' crazy and didn't stop until after their set. Standing ovation for almost 3 minutes I counted. At least here in Houston, people still remember and love Bush.
dekansnowman 6 months ago 3
@TheDunkaccino There are several reasons for this...
WarmothGuitarist 6 months ago 34
@WarmothGuitarist this Bush song isn't too energetic like the ones in the 90s, so you can't really headbang and jump to it.
eklxtreme 5 months ago
@WarmothGuitarist no its just you americans rest of the world goes nuts at certain concerts
cowmanman 5 months ago
@cowmanman with all due respect not really its jimmy kimmel the seats are first come first serve so its mostly loosers who just want to be on tv not bush fans

Been a Bush fan for a very very long time and the new album will most likely be pretty disappointing :(
machineheadg2r 7 months ago
@machineheadg2r I have to agree with this. It's not the same without the original lead guitarist and bassist. Bush is one of my favorite bands alltime though.
