  • Heard some rumers of a Doctor Who movie. It would be nice to get Tom Baker in there playing a minor role.

  • Tom Baker = awesome :D

  • Dave Ross....LOL

  • DAVE ROSS

  • Interesting propaganda, the Daleks where holding themselves up as a master race, obvious allusion to the Nazi regime with Davros as a fuhrer, yet their original sworn enemies the Thals, blonde haired, blue eyed good looking people where pretty close to the aryan ideal

  • Dave Ross! LOL!!!

  • Tom Baker hasn't aged well. :(

  • @Mr4thDoctor watch your bloody mouth.... fingers... thoughts... he played the Doctor the longest and deserves some respect! He still sounds like a bad-ass and that's what counts.

  • @kingofgames1220 Dude, please calm down. I mean no disrespect to Tom. He's my favorite Doctor (hence my username). I'm just a bit surprised on how he aged.

  • @Mr4thDoctor What will you look like when you're in your 70s?

  • @Mr4thDoctor he first appeared with Davros ~1975 .... 36 years ago...who's going to look great after that much time? not me lol

  • Dave Ross =)) lmao

  • Wow! Baker looks like Shatner now.

  • Could anyone be an awesome person and tell me what the name of this documentary is? Looks brilliant.

  • Even these days, I often wake up in a cold sweat, after having had a horrifying nightmare about the chilling Dave Ross, from Doctor Who!

  • davros was fucking scary! YOU WILL TELL ME! LOL.

  • a master race that needs a wheelchair? davros fail

  • I thought davros was a Kaldek, which he mutated into daleks. And wasnt Davros emperor?

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot He was the lead [weapons] scientists of the Kaleds, yes, who were at war with the Thals. He was Emperor of the Daleks, as their creator. Although later some didn't follow him anymore.

  • Arthur Dalek?

    What happened to Fred? ;)

  • He was a Kaled, that invented the transportation systems because he was old, he later used the transportation systems for what the Kaleds would evolve into, which inturn became the Daleks. Bam, geek knowledge

  • @GhostAndTheDoctor Fuck off, thats bollocks. Davros was maimed in an assination attempt that crippled/mutated him. He was in charge of the Scientific Elite during the 1000 year war on Skaro. He saw his people were slowly mutating due to the radioactive weapons used in the war and the Muto outcasts so developed the transportation system that eventually became the Dalek, he destroyed both the Thals and Kaleds in the process to have only the Daleks. He made them in his image. not cos hes old...

  • @TheMasterNo6 What planet are you from? Do they not have jokes there? I realise that, it may have been a subtle joke with some fact to it, but apparently you don't understand that.

  • @GhostAndTheDoctor I didn't comment on what Pegg and Frost are taking the piss out of but the comment you initially made a week ago was incorrect geek knowledge. Yes, its a nicer planet I'm on, usually where we come from people comment on things and get their facts right - and Frost and Pegg are actually from the same place so yeah, the humours brilliant. If anyones missed anything its you, twice. Cheers.

  • Micheal wisher is the only davros

  • Dave Ross. The scariest person on TV.

  • davros sounds like an old and shrivelled adolf hitler

  • it would be incredible to have all living doctors reprise their roles for the 50th

as to their age being a problem, it's so simple:

The Doctor travels between parallel dimensions where the death of each incarnation simply didn't happen. hell, pull a Brando and bring William Hartnell back using CG

  • @OpticalFunkllusions oh but my friend. the role of the Docotr requires so much of the actor themselves in the role that no CG cud do Hartnell or Troughton or Pertwee tru justice. my modest aspirations 4 the 50th anniversary is that they shall have some kind of multi dr story, with Mcgann. I LOVE Tennent and he wud b the obvious choice 2 bring back and of cors id love 2 c him but Mcgann is owed more than 90 mins of screentime and his spinoff media work has proved him highly capable

  • @227060 Totally agree with you on Mcgann. He was a great Doctor in a terrible, terrible movie.

Tennant appearing for the 50th is a given. How much you wanna be Matt Smith shows him up like no one's business?

  • @OpticalFunkllusions Yes, I agree. McGann was an awesome, legit Doctor. The movie? Eh.

  • @kamwrites *on last post: how much you wanna bet* It's so unfair that he wasn't given more time to shine

    -Haha!

  • what is the name of this show

  • DAVE ROSS XD

  • Arthur Dalek ...half-a-Dalek ...LOL

  • Does anyone else think Tom Baker should have been brought back as the 9th Doctor? They could have explained it away as the 8th Doctor's regeneration having gone haywire and having to revert back to a past state in an older form.

  • @Backlap

To me, Tom Baker should never have left!

    But, after 7 years...

  • @Backlap That doesn't make sense. The 10th Doctor was aged by The Master's laser screwdriver, but he didn't regenerate. Also, he can't regenerate into past versions of himself.

  • @thedoctorand I'd guess it's just extremely unlikely if unplanned. A Time Lord can regenerate into anything they want if they're in control of it, which the Doctor never is because it's catastrophic regeneration rather than one taken by choice. Romana II had control and could have conceivably regenerated into whoever she wanted. It's probably just a social taboo.

  • @Chiscringle I guess differ time lords have differ control eg the Master wanted 2 regenerate in2 some1 younger in Utopia and he managed it i doubt he had any specific facial feature in mind. Mayb the Dr can control it but just doesn't want 2 so its a surprise for himself. in theory u cud regenerate in2 some1 exactly like u were b4 with minor differ eg hair style colour, eye colour, a single mole in a differ position

  • @thedoctorand he only regenrates when critically injured or dying. being old isn't an illness really, ur bodies immune system is weaker so u can't fight off diesaeses as well as u cud, plus time lords have differ physioloies.

  • @227060 The 1st Doctor regenerated due to old age. And please don't reply to such old comments. It's absolutely ridiculous. I fully knew everything you've put, for heavens sake, anyway.

  • @thedoctorand how am i meant 2 know wat u do or don't know? also our definitions of old might differ and regardless i didn't check the date of ur comment. as i said alien physiology, 1st dr did regenerate from old age, but he was more active than the accelerated aged 10th Doctor

  • this comment was removed by DAVE ROSS

  • Bring Tom Baker back in Series 5 for a guest appearance! They did it for Peter Davison...

  • @BoukenCrimson But look what he looks like now. No offence to 4th doc lovers but Tom is old now. So how will Tom play the 4th doctor in his age today?

  • @TorterraMan3000 I didn't seriously mean it...

  • @BoukenCrimson Same thing

  • @TorterraMan3000 simple, prevent alot of action scenes (or have a stand in) and use the same excuse from Time Crash, the presence of the same time lord being in the same place at the same time causes some wibbly wobbly timey whimey stuff so that he looks older. i mean the golden rule 4 sci fi or anything is if u recognise that something is wrong or abusrd, then u can get away with it, eg in Justice LEague Wonder Woman blocks lightning with her metal bracelets + Flash says that shudnt wrk=ok

  • these guys doest know what they are talking about... "dave ross" DAVE ROSS!. what a moron.

  • @seploud They're comedians. Of course they're going to get it wrong, it's how they make it funny.

  • "Dave Ross?" lol.

  • How strange to see the TV guide highlighting the fact that the programme was in colour. Changed days!

  • dave ross loooool

  • Tom Baker get fat.

  • It's outragous they showed THAT clip, comeon, terry morry doesn't = davros, michael wisher = davros, and anyone thinks terry did a better job, F U!

  • I think someone needs to administer some tranquillizers to Davros - obviously he's with the wrong GP

  • Davros was the Kaled Chief Scientist on Skaro. The Kaleds fought the Thals in a nuclear war. The war mutated the planet's inhabitants. However, the Thals mutated full cycle back to humanoid form. The Kaleds were mutated severely, so Davros rescued them and gave them a life support vehicle which he later named a 'Dalek'

  • I'd say enthusiast. Everyone has one subject that they could rabble on about for days and days. This is mine. I am not alone.

  • I never said it was real. But it's still an interesting talking point for thousands of people like me. And it's enjoyable nonsense.

  • Good call. The word "geek" always brings to (my) mind a scrawny nerdy little fellow with thick glasses and skin that has not seen sunlight in the last 5 years...

...I am a Doctor Who enthusiast too, and I definitely do not match the description above... I am guessing you don't either.

I, myself, find people who follow mind numbingly boring pass times, such as watching/playing sport, more geek like than people who collect/shoot rifles, paint, compose music, follow classic tv etc.

  • I love the word geek but prefer nerd. Also when Whoniverse Master said enthusiast, I couldn't help think of that sketch where David Walliams and Mark Gatiss kidnap Peter Davison.

  • @WhoniverseMaster Sports. my god sports. if u r knowledgeable about any 1 subject to an advanced degree u r a geek and nerd a FAN/FANatic/enthusiast. its just that certain sports r so mainstream ppl feel if u don't like it u r 'out' as it were. I mean I know ALOT about Dr Who and consider myself a DW geek, but goddam it I dunno any proper stats 4 it, unlike MANY football fans i know

  • @WhoniverseMaster same im such a geek i could talk about Doctor Who endlessly lol its good to know im not alone! :) x x

  • Stay classy.

  • originally, it was a travel machine

  • Davros was an ancient human being (not a Dalek) and created the Daleks in his image, i.e: the dots on the casing etc

  • and what would you know

  • He is not a human being, but a very old Kaled kept alive by his remarkable technology.

  • the Kaleds are human beings! :P look at Genesis of the Daleks!

  • Yeah they look human, but so do Time Lords

  • and proud of it mate! We're here! We're Geek! Get used to it!

  • While we're geeking it up, Terry Nation's original concept of the Kaleds, the Dals where if memeory serves, blue skinned, big headed humanoids. They were made into the normal human form to keep effects costs down.

  • Okay then, I suppose King of the Daleks sounds like an okay title for Davros.

I think the question at the end of this video was quite interesting. Is Davros half man, half dalek or is he a whole man put into a dalek?

  • He's surely half-dalek, or even mostly Dalek, as in Resurrection of the Daleks he succumbs to a Morvellan-created virus that only targets Daleks.

  • It is more the other way round, in that the Daleks are made up of Kaled genetic material and so Davros being a Kaled himself was susceptible to the virus

  • copy rite

  • Davros- King of the Daleks!? He is not the King of the Daleks, he is the Emperor of the Daleks! Emperor sounds much better than King, anyway!

I agree with Tom Baker's comment about Davros having many parallels with recent history. There are several similarities between Davros and Adolf Hitler. The Daleks were actually based on the Nazis.

    "Dave Ross"- ROFL!
