This is brilliant. I'm 16 but I imagined watching this in 1981. It must be thrilling to do so at that time right? Kate Bush really changed the course of pop music. I can't believe she produced the whole "The Dreaming" album. Record labels usually are sceptical when young artists produced their own albums because they are afraid that the mainstream market may not like it. But Kate managed to produce and write one of the best pop records ever. All Hail Kate Bush!

Kate Bush is probably one of the only people I can think of who could twist and convulse wildly in a ballerina costume surrounded by jesters and minotaurs, rollerskate around wearing a white smock and a Dunce hat, shift her voice pitch and tone from high to creepily low, and still manage to come out as a class act. Every time. Thank you to the fabulous Kate for restoring my faith in originality and inspiration.

I think those are supposed to be druid costumes and not Ku Klux Klan. The Klan based a lot of their costuming on Euopean traditions, and perverted them to justify prejudice. I saw similar costumes in an old Asterix comic worn during a "druidic procession" hoods and all. (I think it was Asterix in Spain) Of course most Americans aren't familiar with the druidic traditions of England and Europe.

@oracleif Totally, I always figured the video was about religion making fools of men, where knowlage is something we are given through faith and not searched "sat in our laps". Kings and fools, Pagan gods and klansmen in dunce hats. I'm sure the brits got it, there is just not as much cultural sensitivity around it. Like Gollywogs (black dolls) - a cultural norm in England and Aus but seen as insulting for Americans.
