The first time i heard that I said "Hey that doesn't belong there that was that a crack" It sounds like falsetto for a split second im not entirely sure though. Kamelot is beastly.

I regret that I dont have such skilled and sounding voice... Khans singin skill is magnificent. But after The Fourth Legacy album on later albums(not the concerts) he uses more chest range rather than head range of voice...wonder why...

1. Roy Khan, amazing singer and performer, one of the best in powermetal, maybe even THE best.

2. Thomas Youngblood, amazing composer and one of those guitar players who doesn't kill a song with long and technical solos.

3. Oliver Palotai, badass keyboarder, just listen to his solos, they speak for themselves.

4. Glen Barry/Sean Tibets: Both great basists.

5. Casey Grillo: Badass drummer, Edge of Paradise, this song, he is just amazing!

Symphonic metal has a little more elements involved, so you can't afford to be too specific on one instrument when so many need to merge and flow well. The more specific you become on one instrument, the harder it is to fit everything else and the less room for opportunity with other instruments melody to form the harmony. I agree though, his solo's don't kill songs, but dt seems heavily guitar oriented.
