Recon is useless for anything but marking a load of enemies. I mean, it's gadgets are a motion sensor, a flying motion sensor slash spotter, and a vehicle laser spotter and designator

So there isn't much you need to do as a Recon but stay away from the action and let your MAV, TUGS, or SOFLAM do the work for you. Sniping is just secondary, if you ask me.
