I could've made you one with a Barry King or Hackbarth & Gomph Basketweave. And it would fit like a glove. Plus, the knive handle strap should've been higher up on the back piece of the sheath. I could've handcarved a naked female on the front part. Oh Yeah.
I would make a sex joke about a perfect, tight fit for my tool, a fix with custom leather, yada yada yada... Except that it is such a prefect shieth i dont dare insult it. Just ordered mine :D
Looks as though the sheath maker traced around an Ontario Pilots Survival knife sheath. While it serves it's purpose, it doesn't appear to be more than a $40 sheath. In fact there areseveral sheath makers who would have charged less like, Vince Peloza, Harry Savage, Carl Thomas. Check out my knives and sheaths when you get a chance.
@TattooedGQ lol. Buy one of mine then tell me whether they really are "perfect". Not saying his are "bad", just different. I did state he would charge you less, however.
wow dude you dont know how lucky you are he charged so little. im thinking he only got a little more money that breaking even with materials and time. people i know charge at least $150 for one of that quality. you shuld post a vid when you get the spring loaded strap done.
That's one sweet sheath there! The B1 does deserve a bespoke sheath imo, and with the pricing available at this source, heck, why not a nice comfy home for any other knives to ! I have visited the sit in your link Chris' and agree, it's one to remember! 5X5 !
Yes, Rob's stuff is very affordable, very good compromise between fit and finish and price. I would not be surprised if in a few years he starts to charge more.
To be charging a bit more for his merchandise down the road would be understandable, as it is, he has a good foothold in the market given his prices and standard of work, it could only get better, market willing, and a justifiable price would only be right imo. What happened to the right hand? Broken bones ? I suppose eating with chop sticks whilst wearing a dress shirt is a no - no eh!?
Feel in my yard broke the hand. It is very hard for me to have lost the use of my hand, I'm going crazy!! I agree, I;m sure he will improve on this model for sure. I might get another one...lol
Hope your hand fixes soon for you, even with just one broken finger it is amazing how disabling it is and how skilful one can become in working around it! gws atb Steve

@acliffordknives I have to agree. I just had Harry make 4 sheaths for me, and they're absolutely perfect!

We share the same likes on leather sheaths, and dislikes for those plastic rattling sheaths.
That sheath is a work of art.
Great Vid Thanks.
