Thankyou christopherth for this excellent posting. You know, when Barry moved to Australia, we adopted him like one of our own. His larrikin personality fitted in so well with our culture. He commentated televised motorsport here through the 90's, right up until his death in 2003. Always said what he really thought. We loved him, and felt his loss as much as English motorsport fans, I'm sure. Hunt was the real deal as well. Both great English champions.

Hunt and Sheene like Moss , Hawthorn and Collins were racing for sex and that is admirable.
