Personally, I LOVE the "Barber." He was a decent wrestler that could talk & draw. Once he got booted from the Dream Team after their loss @ Wrestle Mania III, & replaced by Dino Bravo, only to come out @ the end of Roddy Piper's retirement match w/ Adrian Adonis & shaved Adonis' head. He was VERY over from '89 - '91, & was to win the I-C championship from Mr. Perfect @ Summer Slam '90 when the para-sailing accident happened (which is why just 10 days b4 the ppv they threw in Kerry Von Erich).

@Thebadguy1987 All of his WCW gimmicks were after the major career-altering para-sailing accident. His ring action was limited, for good reason. He wasn't that bad in the ring or on the stick. Maybe his friendship with Hogan got him more breaks than he deserved, but he held his own on gigs like the Barber Shop and as a tag champ with Valentine.

With regard to dating this match, this clip mentions that Beefcake was tag champ at this point. FYI He won the title with Greg Valentine on August 24, 1985 so this match has to be some time after this date and before Wrestlemania 2 (April 7, 1986) where they lost the title.

I can`t recall what month but it was back in 1984. it may had been around the middle of that year. Beefcake was co- tag champion with greg valentine aka the dream team

@TDF090779 The match took place in late 1984 or Jan.85 but when this video was released by Colosseum home video he and Greg Valentine had been tag champs for a while. In fact they were to win the belts from Windham and Rotundo in the same arena this match took place . The Spectrum in Philly.

This match was sometime around early 85 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. It was shortly before the first Wrestlemania. This was the first match I went to when I was a kid growing up. A few months later, Beefcake would team up with Greg The Hammer Valentine to become The Dream Team and win the tag titles

@at1212b: It was awesome there. This was shortly before the first Wrestlemania and I was 8 yrs old and the biggest Hogan fan around. The matches in Philadelphia were broadcast the next day so I had to tape it and I swear I could see myself on TV during the broadcast. Unfortunately my dad taped over it.

And the lighting definitely wasn't as good back then. The days before pyro and high-def. But overall, it was a great time!
