It appears that the song was composed by Shankar Jaikishan for Rajhath but not used in the movie. Sohrab Modi, the producer of both movies, used the song in Do Gunde. In the credits for Do Gunde, is there any mention of a song having been composed by S-J?
You're correct. it does seem to be from Do Gunde. This is not the first time that HMV has made a mistake in credits. Usually they make mistakes in the credits for singers, and this is the first instance I'm coming across where they have included a song from a different film in a compilation of a particular film.
EarthMusic shows it as from Raj Hath - but that's definitely wrong ... because Jayshree Gadkar, on whom it is picturised, did not feature in that movie at all; but she was very much in Do Gunde (1959) opposite Ajit, which I am inclined to believe it is from.
I don't trust Earth Music because it has very many errors. I have a CD compilation of Raj Hath and Nausherwan-e-Adil where this song is listed under Rajh Hath. I haven't see either films, but I'm curious how HMV got it wrong.
It usually needs ONE source to make the error - it's easy for others to copy without verifying. Pl do look at the cast of Raj Hath and its many video clips on YouTube - and it would be apparent that this one is not from Raj Hath. Then also take a look at one other number from Do Gunde "Bheegi Palke.n Utha Meri Jaa.n Gham Na Kar" on Jayshree Gadkar and Ajit on YouTube ... and it's difficult not to believe that this number is from the same movie!
Please post the song from Do gunde "bheegi palkein utha meri jaan gam na kar" this is one of the sweetest songs that I have heard
