  • Thats awesome. Great vid, im going to ask for one one of these for my birthday or just save up for it.

  • Great video thinking of buying this bag myself. Enjoyed all the good tips.

  • Ok you have helped me before and now I need some more help. I bought a maxpedition proteus and two rollypolly mini dump pouches and haven't gotten them yet and was wondering if you could attach them like one on each side of the proteus. Because I thought it may be too heavy but I don't know how well the proteus's side pockets are sewn on. If you could answer this that would be great if not that's ok I just thought if I knew it wouldn't I could cancel the shipping.

  • @MrJcarlson123 - you should be able to attach the rollypolly on to the sides of the Proteus. Depending what you are carrying the Proteus might get a little heavy in which case I have seen people use shoulder suspenders to help ease the load. Good luck.

  • I liked the fr-1 so much I bought one and it shipped and I packed with all my gear which is not much at all but I though maybe I should put some survival gear in it. The only stuff I have is mainly what I would carry but I bought this pouch to really organize it. Anybody have any ideas on what else to put in it?

  • Thank you I'm not going to carry much ammo but it is pretty small but I would like to know where the place to get it is?

  • @MrJcarlson123 - I don't remember where I bought mine. You can buy directly from Maxpedition or other online retailer such as Lapolice Gear, ebags, etc.

  • Thank you I am only planning on carrying 20 rounds but 5 of them will be in the rifle. I only use a rifle that takes a 7.62x39 which is pretty small and it comes in a box a bit bigger and taller than a half dollar.

  • @MrJcarlson123 - you should be good to go!

  • I am thinking about getting one of these pouches for rifle hunting because I have to packs one is a huge pack that is too big and one that is still a little big. All I really carry is ammo chapstick a knife a snack a water bottle which I hook to my belt and a few other odds and ends my real question here is should I get one? Please reply soon rifle season starts here on a week or two.

  • @MrJcarlson123 - based upon what you are carrying I think the FR-1 may work for you as long as you don't plan on carrying too much ammo inside the pouch as it will quickly take up all of your space. Good luck.

  • What color is this ? is it the foliage greeN?

  • @TmouniTidio - It is khaki.

  • Excellent little kit!! If you get the chance, you might want to tell about the white zip ties on the side of the kit and some of the ways and reasons they would be helpful in a last effort go to kit.

  • @cqc6bravo - great question regarding the zip ties. Nylon zip ties are strong, lightweight and fast for creating semi-permanent attachments. I have a total of 16 zip ties attached to the outside of the FR-1 which can be utilized for a multitude of purposes such as securing shelter, attaching items together, used as a clamp, used to fix and/or secure gear and clothes, etc. They can also be used one handed as opposed to tying a know with paracord. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment.
