  • Thank You for getting my head around that !!!!!!!! Great explaination.

  • do you have a printable cut out of that drawing or a link to where anyone can find it? thanks in advanve fellow builder and a newbie

  • @roystervi i don't have the link sorry , i goggled it and just when to images and searched until i found it.

  • THANKS! Finally I get the 3 phase-thing.

    Regards from Denmark.

  • I am new to this...good video altogether...you did not mention that magnets need to alternate from north south north etc. Also how are the coils connected to eachother and to the rectifier,,,,will that be in another video? Thanks

  • @devereuxx1 i will be updating soon enough, i am in the middle of moving house but we don't get our new one till Jan 2012, i bought this house for many reasons, one being near some windy areas for a wind generator, I will update as soon as i get all settled and unpacked!!! thx!!

  • very informative and helpful

  • thank god for you!! someone who explains it properly and simply. thankyou!!!!!

  • i'm gonna say yes, and no!! all depends on your setup, if your magnets are setup properly as far as where they physically are in relationship to your coils then yeah it will work, I would stick with 3 phase just because its a happy medium for a good voltage output as well as good amperage output. how many coils per phase would you be doing? and how many magnets?

  • Simple and seemingly obvious question: Is it worth going to "four" phase?

  • @gepisar i'm gonna say yes, and no!! all depends on your setup, if your magnets are setup properly as far as where they physically are in relationship to your coils then yeah it will work, I would stick with 3 phase just because its a happy medium for a good voltage output as well as good amperage output. how many coils per phase would you be doing? and how many magnets?

  • interesting I am working on one right now I have 12 magnets in place and was going to used 12 coils but I see your theory it makes sense.

  • @bg0821 you can still do your 12 magnet 12 coil config. if you were going for a single phase setup.

  • @bg0821

    12 mags***9 coils

you can do 24 mags on top and under ur coils to double voltage... but still 9 coils

12 mags on 12 coils is 1 phase... you wont light anything with that :o)

    Check my videos for info

  • @billmalta1 yeah i am in the middle of moving house but i do plan on building either a pma out of an alternator or a ceiling fan motor. but first i need to find my new house!! ASAP!!! lol
