@0123iloveyouforever I honestly get this question all the time, I should make a video on it hey haha, maybe try with having the pole ont eh ground when your bunnie is out running around so it gets used to it. then I would suggest rasiining it up with dvd's to start instead of building or buying jumps to make shure your rabbit likes to jump. just remember ot give he/she time and not to force them if they dont want to :)
my lionhead\dutch is an AMAZING jumper not tryingto brag but she is i started out with my leg for her to jump over it is a graet way to start i started training her at 3 months and she is still 3 months.. i am starting to train her for the high jumps :)
@animallover6734 a lionhead dutch i have never seen one of those befor do you have a video of her id love to see her, haha thats great im always glad when I hear poeple doing things with there rabbits as they are so intellegent and dont belong in a tiny cage all day long :) I always say there like dogs but with better personalitys and bigger ears haha
hiyaa i jump my bunniess aswell! x Oliver is soo cute and an amazing jumper (: x im not trying to like make you angryor owt but they do look a little high for him ): coz he bashes his legs on nearly every one and the poles are suppost to fall of if he hits them so he doesnt hurt his legs x honestly not trying to annoy anyone jus thought id tell you (: but he is soo amazing x
@BunnyLove0101 awe thanks im not angry, its just the way it looks on video. The bars are acctually really lose as his safety is the most important to me as he is basically my son :) what he is doing is cheating really he jumps and clears the jump but he has a bad habbit of once hes up and over he kicks the jump with his back legs to push him self away from it as he is decending. I dont know if that makes sense.
@BunnyLove0101 haha but hes not hurting himself, as I strech him befor jumping, and when im done I strech him, as in (extending all legs fully, feeling each toe, and his spine) jus to tmake shure hes not hurt :)
@BunnyLove0101 As im a athlete myself I know when too much is too much so no worries he is in good hands :) and if you wanna see a " Too High Jump for a rabbit click this video"
@Catmint1971 Thanks :) theres one other video on my account you can see :) basicly you start witha pole on the ground and then slowly raise it up :) its just takes lots of love and some patients. Everything seems to come pretty naturally to the rabbits :)
@Catmint1971 No worries, really it just depends on the rabbit, the breed dosent really matter. My Dutch love to jump, so dose my Polish Dwarf. My friends Holland lop is a crazy little guy who just loves it. All breeds are pretty friendly, The dwarf breeds are more to handle as they are smaller and faster. but once you get them to listen to you they are great.
@Catmint1971 I wouldnt get a large breen like a flemish giant or a california they dont move as well and english lops have extreamly long ears which are hazardous for jumping.
@ShineBells Thank you once again I really like the mini rex , but the one we had before was kinda spastic lol (yes, he was fixed). A flemish giant, that would be like sending a draft horse over jumps!
@isurugi Nope, Oliver has never bitten me or the public. Since were always interacting iwth the public such as meet and greets our rabbits must be sensitised to people touching them everywhere :D
@isurugi Yes rabbits can be just like dogs with the right care and love, they will come when called, use a litter box, and evern lay down beside you or on you, depending on the kind of bond and handling you have with your rabbit. Of course the more you handle your rabbit the more use to you it will become :)
AWWWW he is sooo cute! is he a Dutch? and great training! though sometimes it looks like ur kinda makin him do it.. :/ dont hate me for it coz like at 1:32 when he jumped and it looked like he was starting to lose interest so just try the jumping for shorter periods but apart from that it's really cute and I want a rabbit but i got Gerbils so i train them to run courses too :)
@MissKayze Hey, I dont hate you lol no its just this thing Oliver does he stands on his back feet and stares at the jump idk why but I wont touch him and he stands there for maybe 20 seconds then jumps its soo weird lol. Yes he is a dutch rabbit :)
This is not a bad video for the basic youtube user to discover Rabbit Hopping- this video is rather interesting and i represent a company that specializes in bringing a spotlight to Canadians that need to promote their goals and ideas+ good job
