@lahrules well a Chinchilla is a lot of work and they live for up to 15-20 years. So rethink on that, and plus they are a bit expensive to take care of. A few times a week they need to bathe in dust, they can't be around loud noises, they are very intellegent so watch what you do with them, they can't get wet, seriously!,...and there;s more i just can't remember. I take care of my teacher's chinchilla's in class, they are so cute still!...even though they always try and take my rings

@lahrules Yep I have a chinchilla and I live in La Mesa so we are practically neighbors! I honestly think a bearded dragon would be better for your age though. Chinchilla's are a lot of care & work and need lots of attention. Bearded dragons still have needs of course, but are easier pets than chins. I actually breed bearded dragons though, if you are interested have your parents contact me. Just message me through youtube and we can go from there :) hope this helps and good luck!

@lahrules you will want to cage him at night, so he can't get hurt chewing on wires or baseboards, or other nasty things, and they poop everywhere so you'll have to keep a dust buster in you room to clean up their tiny poopies, but other than that it sounds like a plan. I'd get a chin. Baby beardies are a pain in the ass to take care of. Just make sure your room is chinny safe and have a good time!!!

The chinchilla is not playing. The dog might be, but the chinchilla is not. It's clearly showing signs of dominance and aggression. Either your dog or chinchilla could've been injured. Do a bit of research and see what can happen when chinchillas fight. It ends up with torn ears and missing limbs. Your puppy could've gotten bitten...hard. Not very funny.

You don't have to tell me I'm not right because I know I am. Your chin and dog may get along sometimes, but in this particular instance, the chin is NOT happy nor playing.
