PART ONE - I wanted to see this, because I'm a Sandler fan... I found it on Netflix, loaded it up, and made it 10 minutes in before having to shut it off in disgust... this is just a bad, bad movie. I told my friend about it, and he insisted we watch it, so we've been watching it in 10 minute chunks every few days (we can't watch much more than 10 minutes at a time, it drags so much), and we're like an hour in... @MaximumMadnessStixon PART TWO - First of all, the production is bad (somehow, the crew literally just FORGOT to bring the lens packs they needed, which is almost completely inconceivable. That's like a doctor forgetting he sees patients) so the film looks like shit. Sandler looks uncomfortable, and hasn't figured out his game yet, so he's really not good at all... he looks just awkward. He constantly breaks the fourth wall, but it makes no sense, and doesn't add anything... TO BE CONTINED

How can the bad guy see a videotape of the beauty contestants, when they are STILL ON THE SHIP MAKING THE VIDEOTAPE HE'S WATCHING, AND HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OF GETTING SAID TAPE, BECAUSE IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN FINISHED YET WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE MOVIE?!?!?!?!) Seriously, I haven't laughed ONCE in the whole movie. Their jokes are random nonsense. This movie feels like a series of strung-together skits with all of the punchlines cut out.
Ok lets get this straight its a LOW budget movie ok of course its gonna be strange but i think the movie is good and ok Adam Sandler is great and he is great in Going Overboard. And ill say it again its a LOW budget movie. Get a life.

There was literally no structure, no logic of any kind (not even a cartoon logic), no humor, no consistancy, and enough plot holes to sink the ship in the film. Upon watching this, we both seen Adam Sandler's biggest mistake, a film full of hammy acting and countless looking into the camera while speaking dialouge.

Sandler's path to fame was paved for him by all the fools that laugh at idiotic bathroom humor like Eddie Murphy's "Nutty Professor". Basically and unfortunatly Sandler has the clout of deep-pocketed producers and promoters in the exact "right places" to create the pseudo-success that he enjoys today. Phil Hartman (a former co-star of Sandler's) .....put it best while in Sinatra Mode..."You don't scare me Fella!...I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool". He did, did he not?

If you want to see a bad movie that takes place on a cruise ship, watch "Boat Trip" - its still really bad, but atleast it has some gratutitous nudity.
