@volleyballcj So, this is change you can believe in? Under the new health care bill did you know that all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax? This was in the obamacare bill. If you weren't aware, you aren't alone. There are more than a few members of Congress that aren't aware of it either. They are unaware of other things too and it's scary.

By the time the next presidential elections roll around the Republicans will have had control of congress for 2 years.
Remember on of the main talking points of the GOP whenever anyone mentions the failures of the Bush administration? They say, "well the Dems had control of congress the last 2 years of the Bush administration."
Well now the shoe is on the other foot. Lets see what specific proposals the Republicans come up with in the next 2 years.

@megarational Once Republicans get into office, they will begin turning back the Obama "change" nobody evidently wanted. They will cut entitlements. Tax Cuts? No, they will just extend the current tax rates we've had for 10 years. Trade deficit? Unions will fight tooth and nail to keep America from increasing exports, for they have given us the highest cost labor in the world, frankly they make more than their jobs are worth. You can forget about manufacturing jobs until unions wake up.

Answering this by saying the middle class consumes products and creates demand doesn't cut it. Someone still has to create the product and "hire" someone to make the product. @megarational You really, really need to read an economics book. Learn how an economy functions. Corporate profits are doing very well. Companies still aren't gonna spend much cash, because it may have to go towards higher taxes. BTW it isn't just a 4+% increase, there are a helluva' lot of taxes that are going up. But you don't know that because you probably don't even pay income tax.

@megarational Soooooo....... Moron, Im giving you four things that will devastate the middle class in 2011. Child Tax Credit goes from a $1,000 deduction down to $500. Marriage penalty, the standard deduction will no longer be allowed. The lowest bracket goes from 10% to 15%. The earned income credit, gone.
so do you think businesses want to employ more folks if the know the middle and lower classes could get socked with a tax increase and have less money to spend?
