I am searching entire evening for a decent performance of these waltzes. Finally , there's one. I had no idea it's so difficult to play this music. It really takes a piano masters to play it.
The two play as one pianist. Sprightly, elegant, aristocratic. I had no idea Mlle. Boulanger was such a fine pianist. And wasn't she a perfectly beautiful elderly lady?
This is delightful, Vstasov. I knew of Nadia Boulanger as a teacher and of Dinu Lipatti as a pianist. But I had not heard their work, as a singer being preoccupied with vocal works. ***** Thank you for sharing, I love four hands piano.
WOW! So glad we have this!

Funny: when this recording was published, the record label stated: "executée par mesdames Lipatti et Boulanger". Lipatti was unknown at the time!!

100% wonderful!!! Perhaps only the julius katchen version are as good, but only
the 2 handed version. Also the 4 handed version of Walter and Beatrice Klein
are very nice. Thanks so much for sharing this. I wonder when it was recorded.

Lovely playing! Btw, before they repeat no. 6, they first play no. 5 (starting at 5:49).

This is an impressive performance, by the two graet Pianists. Both play in harmony as well as passion. Thanks for sharing.

Brahms sings with a tender but passion-
ate heart in these wonderful waltzes.
He marveled himself that a man from
Hamburg could write them at all! Lipatti
and Boulanger play with spontaniety,
and inspiration! Thank you for sharing!
