  • Fridge horror sets in once you realize the full extent of her power

  • This doesn't really fit koishi but more her home but it's still pretty cool.

  • Best EX-Boss theme in the entire series. Fast-paced and tense, it really sounds like a battle theme, as well as achieving ZUN's goal of reflecting characters' traits in his music. (I know he also makes music to match the danmaku, but such abstract artistic concepts are currently beyond my comprehension.)

  • why does this sound like un owen was her backwards?

  • @AnimeKelsey This sounds like this backwards except in forwards motion.

  • hm...how did i get to this video again? nice music... sounds like "Touhou".. i need to play one of those

maybe i'll think of a wittier comment after i listen to this again...

  • @darkangelcoty

It sounds like a Touhou theme because it's one lol

    I prefer Satori's over Koishi's :c

  • @DelichiousApple huh? when did i?

    wait

    *one wiki page read later*

so that's why i felt weird

freaking Satori and her subcouncious mindrape powers...

  • her eyes are so far apart...

  • SO MANY MISMATCHED CHORDS.....kinda reminds me of Flan-chan's theme. :)

  • @VLeAsian I think it was clearly evident that I was kidding, but apparently it wasn't. Either way, ZUN is the only one who knows the truth about Gensokyo. I mean, did YOU expect Yuyuko to become a Stage 1 boss?

  • @xtrem3rd Actually, I thought that if she ever came back, she'd make a great stage 2 boss, considering stage 2 bosses are antisocial Downs patients. Kind of like our lovely Hollow Ghost

  • One hell of a extra stage boss ._.

  • Look up the backwards version of this song is sounds almost exactly the same as it does going forward, it's creepy.

  • @Zellig You're right. It creeps me out that it does.

  • @Zellig But Marisa's theme on the panio sound the same backward as well.

  • I started humming Shou's theme once, next thing I knew I was half way through Satori's theme. I guess Koishi is trying to spread some love for Satori's sake through sub-conscience control. =P

  • I think that everything apart from 1:17 - 2:03 sounds WAY too dark for a "cheerful"-type character like Koishi.

  • @xtrem3rd I kind of thought that the "darkness" of most of her song reflects her dark power. Being able to manipulate the subconscious is a frightening power, and with it, she can explore the dark depths of your mind, and bring out your worst fears.

  • @zappazoey While that is true, so far, all of the themes I heard reflected the characters' personalities rather than their power. Meh. Maybe Koishi is psycho like Flandre, she just knows how to hide it. Ha ha.

  • @xtrem3rd really? i thought it WAS cheerful for "dark" type koishi

  • The picture is the SWR version of Koishi... :3 Yes, I have seen this.

It'll be great if someone made a mod for SWR that includes almost all of the girls...

  • Manipulating subconsciounes?

    Wow...

    That's because her theme.

  • Hurry up !!!! Gota get threw the door before we all die!!!! -time starts to count down before destruction- 3<

  • This is exactly what she wanted you to watch, Mindslaves!

  • @lilbonsly She manipulates the viewers subconsciously?? Oooh... Koishi-chan!!

  • This sounds like your subconscious driving you to the edge, insanity building and building, until you're finally about to break. ZUN did a great job composing her theme.

  • Why is it that all Extra themes are totally kickass? From U.N. Owen was her? to Heian Alien.

  • This song is the same backwards as it is forwards, more or less.

  • I don't understand why people still draw Koishi with a sealed eye. After her battle with Reimu and Marisa, she felt her eye open up a little, because she wanted to know more about hese humans. In these past years, she must have eventually re-opened her third eye.

  • @Hakakuno People insist Flandre is 495 years old. She's 503+.

  • @Nazuiko That is so true.

  • @Hakakuno they could be drawing pictures of her before the battle

  • @frostyman116 I was referring to an earlier comment, not the picture.

  • Two words.

Penis envy. Which probably means she's one of the straight characters in Gensokyo, refuting the Everyone is Gay trope.

  • @tenryuu *Some hint she's bi, possibly falls in love with the protag*

  • @Nazuiko lol, you just missed the joke.

  • @tenryuu No, I just read the time stamp on your comment. *bans myself until the stupid wears off. Dies, just like i did THERE*

  • @Nazuiko Hahahaha... nice.

But in my perception of her final statement is that she is awed by Reimu's or Marisa's power and she would like to know her to be able to be friends with her... some cleaner version than saying she might be a bi... ;D

  • This makes me think of a final fantasy game's final boss for some strange reason, wonder why?

  • Ugh, not my favourite of the boss themes (first time listening to it) It's too delicate and happy sounding for an Extra theme song, and after Nuclear Fusion, this really doesn't sound as good. It does get good later on, but the beginning ruins it.

This is the only exception of where the extra stage theme is worse than the Final stage theme IMHO. Mokou's was great, Yukari/Ran's was Good, Suwako's was OK, and Flandre's was good.

Eh. I suppose you'd have to listen to it more to appreciate it.

  • I thought it was wierd the first few times I heard it, but now when I listen to the song, I notice that the beginning is sort of creepy and insane in some way...

... or it could just be me.

  • it sounds dangerous, something that actually native faith or UN. owen didnt have

  • I love it actually, though the first time I listened to it I didn't liked it :P

It's well suited for Koishi, like Reach for the Moon is well suited for Mokou IMHO. :)

  • I actually thought this song fits well after Nuclear Fusion. It sounds a bit similar to Nuclear Fusion, but its definitely more chaotic and twisted than the previously mentioned song.

  • Of course it's happy sounding, Koishi isn't a dark-mooded character, seeing as she's happy even after she's defeated.

I think it's great, it really fits well, as does Nuclear Fusion. Nuclear Fusion is the theme of a nuked-up bird trying to take over the world, and this is a happy Satori scolding you for wanting to steal/seeing how strong you are.

  • ... This song sounds happy? Sounded more evil to me. Which is weird coupled with Koishi's personality.

    Nuclear Fusion was just epic.

  • I'm pretty sure Native Faith sounds WAY happier than this.

Also, not to be rude to the poster, but you might not like the sound of it because this isn't really the highest quality.

  • U.N. Owen better than Septette for the Dead Princess, wut?

  • Add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL for high quality.

  • @zimandgir123

But Native Faith is actually a piano piece from hell...(stated in its description)

  • Koishi and Flandre are both Extra Stage bosses with older sisters who own a mansion. I wonder if they would get along quite well?

  • Remilia?...get along with people? I don't see that happening without circumstances.

  • OH MY GOD IT'S SPREADING SO DARN FAST!

  • UN OWEN WAS PINGAS

  • KOISHI CRAVES PINGAS

  • Her Personality Is Moe~

  • I give my vote to Hartman Youkai Girl as a one of the best themes. At first, I didn't like it, maybe because I was addicted to Native Faith.... but now this is one of my favs. Maybe it's Komeiji ability with subconscious XD.

About tastes.... Bah, I never liked Reach for the moon and UNowen was her, but I am a fan of Necrofantasy, Native Faith and now Hartman Youkai Girl.....

  • If that's the case Pyrothon, does any of the previous stage 5 themes sound like each other? For instance I can see no resemblance between Faith is for the transient people and Lunatic eyes, and I see no resemblance between Necrofantasia and U.N Owen was her? either. So I'm afraid I don't get your point why this one is the worst. It would've been better if you just said you think the others are better.

  • Since said comment, my opinion has changed, and this now sits above Mokou's and Suwako's theme, the latter regaining it's place as worst.

The feeling of the song, Stage 5 tend to have a serious sounding tone, Till When, Transient, Luna Dial, even Lunatic, as does this song.

Extra themes tend to sound quite playful, upbeat and rather frantic, while this song only gets the latter.

Also, themes tend to link with the characters in question, but I don't think any links at all with this one.

  • A very tense theme.

  • Tastes are different. Tastes are just different.

  • This.

  • No, this OWNS UN owen. Better than Necro-Fantasy (but not Necrofantasia, cuz that's Phantasm) and this is like a mix of Reach for the Moon and Native Faith. 8D

  • I wonder why all of my pro-Koishi posts always get voted down.
