I stayed next door at the Mandalay Bay, but took the tram over to the Luxor just to walk around and check out the casino there. I liked what I saw, and would stay there. I do not understand why people call it trashy either. Now there's a little hotel across the street. Now that's trashy. LOL The one next to the McDonalds.

Yeah I stayed at the Luxor in November 2007, i loved it. we had a great view of the airport and the mountains and the sphinx! E very morning we'd see the sun rise above the mountains! great hotel
oh and by the way, venetian or palazzo has better food court.. so classy. im also a criss angel fan. 1st time in luxor stayed in the pyramid, 2nd time in the tower. i still prefer Planet Hollywood

Just back from the Luxor they do an excellent buffet breakfast or lunch or dinner for about $17/$19 approx, but for a great value food with huge choice and portions try the cheesecake factory in the Forum Shops near to Cesars Palace.
No - it is very affordable. You have to check out their all-you-can-eat buffet down at the lower level (forgot what it was called). It was like eating at a Roman orgy - unbelievable food! And the cafe on the casino level was very affordable. We ate at the Luxor more than any other place while we were in Vegas... regards - dev

its not just in the Casino.. even in the entrance reception area.. i remember years ago.. there are Pharaohs walk in costume and you can take photos together with them.. now no more.. u can't take photos at all even inbetween mandalay and luxor.. securities are everywhere and the foodcourt sux

It seemed OK to me, didn't have any problems. I got a regular room, like the one in this video. They were in the midst of changing it though. I went back in late October last year, and they had already gotten rid of some of the Egyptian decor and statues. If you haven't heard, they're going to get rid of all the Egyptian theme. They've already changed the club, a restaurant and other things. I've heard they were going to change that mezzanine area. I hope they don't change that cafe.

it is trash. it looks good on the outside and before you go into their rooms. the rooms are seedy. the showers backed up on me and my friends, we had two rooms. both showers backed up. it's just big like the rest. big isn't always better.
hahahaha.. the shower also backed up and i went to find housekeeping.. and asked for a plunger.. they don't even know what plunger is. i had to act it like im some kind of stupid. i like luxor outside but inside is so-so.
