  • Could someone tell me why there are two pianists? I'm not very sure and am curious.

  • Its because its a piano concerto, where the pianist (LiHwa Cheng) needs an orchestra to play with. In this case you can substitute the orchestra with another pianist (dr. Michael schmidt), who can play the orchestra part.

  • What a super video. I am always fascinated to see concertos accompanied on a second piano (as I sometimes have accompany concerto peformances myself). Chinese piano works from the period of this concerto are little known here in the UK (and the scores hard to get hold of)

  • Thank you for your comment.

  • Great performance! Too much echo for the recording.

  • is that you! ^^.. ur pretty... and did a GREAT JOB!!

  • Thank you for all your comments.

  • one too many pianos for this song.

  • asian music rocks

  • cool duet!

  • These two pianists are superb. The music is so passionate. I have not seen a female pianist play Yellow River before. She is surely the best pianist I even seen to play the Yellow River.
